Like Queen Jadis In 'The Magician's Nephew'?
Imagine trying not to admire a tall, beautiful Queen. In “The Magician's Nephew” Uncle Andrew was faced with this challenge. Uncle Andrew should not have admired Queen Jadis for three reasons: she was rude, she was destructive and she was more powerful.

The first reason Uncle Andrew should not have admired Queen Jadis is she treated him rudely.
She called him rude names like dog and a fool. She was bossy when she ordered him to get a chariot and she acted wickedly.

The second reason Uncle Andrew should not have admired Queen Jadis is she was destructive.
She wrecked the cab and lamp-post . She threw Aunt Letty and could have seriously injured her, and she was uncontrollable.

“Your majesty.” Catherine shot a glance up at her grandmother-in-law, but then looked away, unable to meet the Queen's piercing eyes. The 143 year old was seven feet tall, her neck downwards surrounded by a dark synthetic body suit. Her face was a wrinkled prune and her eyes replaced by black artificial beads. “I think you know why I'm here.” Catherine said. The queen's smile had vanished. She said nothing. “You have reigned for over one hundred years.”…

The girl stood facing the portrait, her left index finger resting on her pursed lips. She tilted her head and let out a melodramatic sigh. It was a portrait of her great grandfather with a leopard cape wrapped around him as he held his head high and his carribean blue eyes stared off in the distance. At a first glance he would appear to be robust or regal, but she knew that it was all a ruse. Instead, Arthur Augustus Piemonte was nothing of the sorts and was in fact a fraud. It was this information that puzzled the girl: why would the family still showcase him; despite his efforts to involve their secluded nation in European politics and then almost single handedly end the monarchy?…

Empress Elisabeth, the notorious ‘Kaiserin Sisi’, bears great resemblance to the late Princess Diana regarding her ongoing popularity, eternal youthfulness and the utter fascination so many have with the intriguing events that occurred during the course of her wonderful, yet undeniably tragic, life. The similarities between Sisi and Princess Diana are truly uncanny, with both of them suffering from eating disorders, little self-confidence and involved in unhappy marriages as well as suspicious, untimely deaths. ‘Die Kaiserin Sisi’ had what one could only describe as a relatively happy, untroubled start in life with her spending her first years at the Possenhofen Castle in the open, rural area of Lake Starnberg. Duke Max of Bavaria and Ludovika, her loving mother and father, had very few official obligations at the Royal Court despite being members of the Bavarian royal house allowing them to concentrate almost solely on Sisi and her seven siblings.…
