I was so happy to hear from you, and the fact that you are reaching out for help with your problems is amazing. It means that your relationship with your wife and kids is important to you and that you are ready to try to change. I know that you have suffered with addictions, and that you suffered as a child when your parents were both addicts also. To answer your question, yes, I am a life coach and I can help. On the website of the company I work for it says, “Our skills are about knowing the right questions to ask and having the right tools and techniques to empower you to find those answers within yourself” (Leo, 2012, Para.4). I will listen to what your complaints are, ask questions so that I can attain more detail and offer you the tools that you need to make your life more satisfying. This will be a strictly confidential relationship and you can always choose which tools you want to use and which ones you prefer not to. It is up to you, I am just here to help you along the way. I think that if you look at it like I am your mentor; most people have a mentor when they are growing up and learning life lessons, and you did not, so it is normal for you to have trouble coping with life. Your parents did not teach you the skills you need, because they were dealing with their own addictions. Now that they are both sober and learning how to cope with their own lives, I know that they are truly sorry for the neglect that you suffered. If you would like you can go to the website listed at the end of this letter and click on the link that is called “Take the life coaching quiz” to see if you are ready for a life coach. Try to think of your life as a journey, a call to adventure, and you are the hero of this adventure. As your life coach I believe that I can help you feel like a true hero and live a happy and fulfilling life.…
