Life Coaching
Life Coach Kay Hazen College Composition I 04-03-2012

I was so happy to hear from you, and the fact that you are reaching out for help with your problems is amazing. It means that your relationship with your wife and kids is important to you and that you are ready to try to change. I know that you have suffered with addictions, and that you suffered as a child when your parents were both addicts also. To answer your question, yes, I am a life coach and I can help. On the website of the company I work for it says, “Our skills are about knowing the right questions to ask and having the right tools and techniques to empower you to find those answers within yourself” (Leo, 2012, Para.4). I will listen to what your complaints are, ask questions so that I can attain more detail and offer you the tools that you need to make your life more satisfying. This will be a strictly confidential relationship and you can always choose which tools you want to use and which ones you prefer not to. It is up to you, I am just here to help you along the way. I think that if you look at it like I am your mentor; most people have a mentor when they are growing up and learning life lessons, and you did not, so it is normal for you to have trouble coping with life. Your parents did not teach you the skills you need, because they were dealing with their own addictions. Now that they are both sober and learning how to cope with their own lives, I know that they are truly sorry for the neglect that you suffered. If you would like you can go to the website listed at the end of this letter and click on the link that is called “Take the life coaching quiz” to see if you are ready for a life coach. Try to think of your life as a journey, a call to adventure, and you are the hero of this adventure. As your life coach I believe that I can help you feel like a true hero and live a happy and fulfilling life. “Life

I lost my daughter when she was 9mts old. My brother had got temporary custody when I went to jail. Once I was released, I couldn’t stay clean long enough to pass a drug test. I felt horrible because I was a junkie. I couldn’t change any of it. I wanted to be a good mom, daughter, sister and friend. This addiction had its claws on me and wouldn’t let go. My parents had completely wiped their hands of me when I lost my daughter. No one in my family wanted to be around me either. This is when I hit my bottom. I was sick and tired of being sick and tired. I went to my parents and told them I wanted to go to rehab. They didn’t want to spend the money for me to go, because I had been once before and it didn’t do any good. I finally convinced them that I was ready to go and I was really going to try this time. Once I got to rehab I applied myself. I read from the AA big book and the NA book almost the whole time I was there. This is where most of my education on this disease came from. I was not the only person with this disease. There was help if I wanted it. That’s what I decided to do. I got…

If you are reading this letter, it means you have chosen to seek help for your addiction and by doing this, you are asking for support from fellow members and utilizing the Higher Power through an Alcoholics Anonymous 12-Step program. We have to commend you for your “STRENGTH” and “COURAGE.” AGAIN, you should be very proud of yourself for making an enormous and the most important step towards recovery by admitting that you are “POWERLESS” over alcohol and secondly that your life is unmanageable and chaotic. Yet, you chose to come clean with this behavior because you want to live a healthier lifestyle away from alcohol and addiction(s). By committing to Alcoholics Anonymous, you have already chosen to “set yourself free” from alcoholism…

I have noticed that I seem to almost “empathize too hard,” at times. Also, when clients I work with now relapse, I take it hard in certain circumstances and question if there was more I could have done. I currently utilize supervision, both individual and triadic with another case manager in recovery, to address specific feelings and emotions associated with client outcomes, and will continue to utilize this method as it has been beneficial. Another way I remain balanced and stable is through my personal self-care plan of continued attendance at Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, working with my own sponsor, exercise, and…

There are three areas: the role of preconception health and well-being on birth outcomes, the long-term effects of adverse childhood experiences, and the fetal origins of adult disease. Healthcare does not start from birth, its begins from the moment your mother finds out that she is pregnant with you. Prenatal care is very important and not receiving it can have long lasting effects on the child. The long-term effects of adverse childhood are exploring why an adult might have the health problems that they have by looking back on their childhood to see if any signs led to this outcome.…
