One of the very big reasons for not agreeing with this idea is that if the students go to school all year round without an actual break, it might put way too much into them and they would get too stressed out and probably has a breakdown. There is a reason for having a summer break. During this period, the schools prepare for the next academic year so they undertake cleanup and maintenance exercises which cannot be done during normal class hours. Also, this period offers an opportunity for teachers to seek further education themselves, advancing their knowledge and skill levels for future endeavors. Sometimes, schools use summer vacations to avoid kids being condensed in classrooms in hot weather. Some teachers work side jobs or teach community ed or run a business during the summer vacation, along with take up hobbies or go on vacation. So this goes to show that the summer isn't just for the students, but also for the teachers and their preparations for the next year.
Another really important reason for students and teachers both needing to be on summer vacation is that summer is a good time for younger students to have a chance to just be kids. Most elementary students get about 15 minutes for recess during the school day. Add at least two to four hours of homework a week, and the result is a youngster who gets less yard time than your average prison inmate.
Yes, we might have a few reasons for needing to have a longer school year like furthering education, but unlike other countries, we students do not feel the drive and the need to go without summer vacation. Yes, it might help us later in life, but it can also hurt us because the students will have no work ethic or experience.
So all this really comes down to is that have school all year round is a bad idea. It has its advantages but it also has its own disadvantages. Mostly it is all a matter of opinion. This is exactly how I feel about have all year round school. Thank you for your time.

Most importantly, year-round school would cause students to be exhausted. Even with the several shorter breaks, students would probably feel that they would be constantly working and stressed.
