Lesson Plan
Good Evening, first I would like to start by saying that I am extremely great full to the members of the Prairie Heights FFA, the parents of these wonderful children, the staff of Prairie Heights and most of all Mr. Noll and Mr. Leu for welcoming me into the Prairie Heights family as if I were one of your own. For many of you this will be some of the last moments that we get to spend together during my time as your student teacher. These past twelve weeks have flown by and have been filled with memories, some were happy, some were sad, many of them taught me a lesson and others filled me with gratification watching each and every member succeed in their own way. I know that many of you have gotten to know me very well throughout my time here and for all of you I would like to give you one last memorable lesson, so I hope that the words I am about to share with you are based on true knowledge and ripened with wisdom.
As many of you who know me have discovered there are a couple of things that I absolutely love. The top three of these are probably Disney, Music, and of course Boy Meets World. I think that the reason that I love these things so much is because they all hold elements of life that stick with us no matter how old or mature we can be. I know that I don’t seem much older than you but trust me I have been in your shoes, had my own barriers to jump through, and fought to accomplish my own dreams. For those of you who don’t know, Boy Meets World is an astounding show that was at the height of its popularity during the 90’s. The show follows a young boy named Cory, his family, his best friend Shawn, and his girlfriend Topanga. Part of the reason that I love this show is because it is hilarious, but the other more important part of why I like it is because it shows real life problems that we all have to deal with from time to time. I know you are all thinking that every sitcom does this, but not in the same way, every episode has its own problem and

Boy Meets World was one of my favorite childhood sitcom; it shows ethical decisions that needed to be made in the era. The sitcom has multiple angles and perspectives of different issues and life lessons. The main character Corey Matthews goes through life long journey with struggles and mishaps with family and friends. Boy Meets World shows how the “average” teenager is life. During the time of the show, the Matthews made is seem that the most important thing in life was family and friends. This sitcom shows personal, historical, technical, ethical, cultural, and critical perspectives.…

Three years ago we stepped into high school believing that we owned the place. No longer the lowly freshman, who when we look back now were completely weird. It’s safe to say we all thought we were much cooler, but who knows. We were nothing but individuals searching for themselves, looking to fit in, wanting to achieve something. We followed our daily routines, got our licenses, expanded our circle of friends, and talked about parties. Three years ago we made a new best friend, went out with our friends every weekend, thought we were too mature for school dances. Three years ago we couldn't wait to get older.…

There is some confusion about what a lesson plan* is and is not. A worksheet is not a lesson plan. A handout is not a lesson plan. A classroom game or activity is not a lesson plan. In fact, there is no need for a lesson plan to ever be seen, touched, considered or dreamed of by students, and nor does it even need to exist on paper or disk, though it usually does.…
