Leidimar Biography
Her name is Leidimar. She is persistent, elegant, solidary, and loyal. Above all she is the greatest woman I have ever known. Her story begins in Maranhão, Brazil. Leidimar was born to a poor family of farmers in the countryside. She was raised in a household with eleven siblings. About the time she turned 3 years old, her family move to Rio de Janeiro, one of the biggest cities in Brazil. In Rio de Janeiro she started to attend school, becoming one of the few in her family to graduate from high school. Despite all the odds, she was accepted in a prestigious federal university called Universidade Federal Fluminense. She was the first one in her family to attend and earn a college degree. Her goal was to become a social worker, and she did it.
