Legal Case Study In Nursing Home Care
Anna was seen at Queens park nursing home for a review in present of her daughter (Martina), Interpreter (Xeni), nursing home staff, doctor, cpn and nursing student. Nursing home staff approached Anna on arrival and gained consent to come to her review meeting for further assessment.
Anna was asked how she was feeling about the resident and she replied by saying yes. Martina reported that the last time she wanted to take Anna out from the resident, Anna hair was not properly dry, not warm enough with her clothes and she was not happy with.
MOBILITY: - Martina reported, the resident staff said to her that the wheelchair taxi does not work on Sunday and she suggested if she can buy a car and be using it for Anna. Daughter (Martina) wanted to know how longer the pad can stay on Anna with a continent because she is planning to take her for meal and spend longer time with her. Anna likes her new chair after two chairs failed to support her. Occupational therapy still needs to review the new chair because there is no arm rest for her on the chair. …show more content…
SKIN: - It was reported that Anna has marks on her skin but no pressure sores at the time of the meeting. Doctor advice staff to be doing stretch hand massage or gentle exercise for Anna.
Martina wanted Anna nails to cut or preferable that she can do it if the staffs allow her to.
FOOD AND FLUID: - Anna is eating and swallowing with assistant and she is on soft food. Anna has eating assessment reviewed suggested that she does not change for now.
WEIGHT: - Anna weighted 68kg.
MEDICATION: - Lansoprazole was change from 15mg to 30 mg.
Mental state: - Staff says no concerns about her mental
