The article “LeBron James: 4 Reasons King James Will Never Get Close to Michael Jordan” by Sammy Sucu, begins with a seemingly fair comparison between LeBron and Michael. He gives credit to LeBron by saying that he is one of the best players to play the game of professional basketball since the retirement of Michael Jordan but then he clearly states his argument that LeBron will never be as great as Michael Jordan. Then he makes comparisons on how LeBron and Michael are different. He gives credit to LeBron James saying that he is a more physically gifted athlete and that he is a better distributor of the ball than Jordan. He recognizes that both players are very talented but LeBron doesn’t possess the intangibles that Michael Jordan had. Then the author goes into detail with his four reasons on why LeBron will never come close to Jordan.…

In 2002, a young man named Lebron James made headlines as he received the hype of being the next Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant are two of the greatest basketball players to ever live. The way they play the game is memorizing. These two athletes are very extraordinary, though only one can be called the greatest of all time. The debate still and will always continue on who is the best. On one hand, there is the 6 time NBA champion in Michael Jordan; in the other there is the phenom who scored eighty- one points in one game, Kobe Bryant. In my opinion, Michael Jordan is and will always be the greatest basketball player to ever play the game. When I think of the word, "legend", only one name comes to my mind and that name is Michael Jordan. Even the president of the United States thinks MJ is the better choice. "Oh, Michael," the lifelong basketball fan told The Associated Press "I mean Kobe's terrific. Don't get me wrong," Obama said of the four-time NBA champion. "But I haven't seen anybody match up with Jordan yet". Michael Jordan tops Kobe Bryant in many ways, such as: offense, defense, and overall career achievements.…

Michael Jordan is arguable the best basketball player who ever played the game. A phenomenal athlete with the unique combination of fundamental soundness, grace, speed, power, artistry, and an unquenchable competitive desire, Jordan single-handedly redefined the NBA superstar. The thing that separated Jordan from the rest of the all-time greats was his compulsive need to win. Jordan was and is still known for his intense competitiveness and will to win, but that has not translated to his ownership of the Charlotte Bobcats.…

Though both Kobe and Lebron went to the NBA straight out of high school, and being two of the league’s best all around players who are lethal threats which must take an extraordinary game plan to defend. Steph Curry’s career in basketball all started with this hand-me-down, old rickety hoop. Growing up, Steph studied the gameplay of Steve Nash. The repetition of taking 900 shots lead him to be 44% from behind the ark. Announcers, coaches, and the President of the United States all believe he is one of the best players and the best shooter in the NBA (Fleming). He holds the record for most three pointers made in a season. Steph is a 6’3” 185 pound guard who went to Davidson all four years of college. Curry lead his team to the Elite 8 in 2008. Steph curry (and it’s is going to be very hard to argue) is the best shooter the league has ever seen. The last three years he has been the hardest player to guard on and off the ball. The main reason is that he not only is an elite catch and shoot player from anywhere on the floor , he can get his shot off on the dribble with his quick handles and release. The numbers he’s posted is off the charts not only just at the three point line but from beyond the line (i’m talking 28+ ft) he has a better percentage than players shooting 22ft. The man is such a great shooter the legend ray allen make hi statement and says, “ Based on what he’s done, I think he has to be—he’s on his way to being the best ever. It’s always arguable, based on who’s telling the story. One thing I always tell people is, it’s hard to compare generations. Everybody has something or somebody that makes him feel special about the game, or the way they saw and the way they appreciate the game. I’ve sat back and watched a lot,…

LeBron James was a stellar basketball player. He was offered a full scholarship to The University of Indiana and took it. LeBron was one of the best players around, but he had to go to college for a year before he could be eligible for the draft. LeBron’s life goal was to become the best basketball player in the world. That never happened. LeBron James suffered from a severe leg injury midway through his college season January 15, 2004. LeBron was never able to play the game he loved at the professional level. He now works at a bank and cashes checks for a living. This could be a reality that we would have to face today. In fact, though it is obvious that this story is not real, it is based off of a real player’s life. Tyrone Prothro was destined to be the next hall of fame NFL player, but he got injured in college before he could make it to the pros and now works at a bank, cashing checks for a living (Travis). I believe that high school athletes should not be required by law to go to college before becoming professional athletes because of skill level, money, and injuries.…
