LEBRON JAMES
Lebron James standing at six feet, eight inches tall and weighing 250 pounds. James has been called the best physical player in sports by some sports analysts and publications. He has started at small forward and power forward but can also play the other three positions. Lebron with career averages of 27.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 6.9 assists, and 1.7 steals per game, is considered one of the most versatile players in the NBA. He has been compared to Hall of Famers Oscar Robertson, Magic Johnson, and Michael Jordan. He was born in Akron, Ohio. Six years later he started to play basketball. He won his first title in high school of course, and two years later he won his second. July 7, 2004 he was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers. June 9, 2005 he was selected for his first all-star game, and he makes it into every all-star game from then on. He became the only person in the NBA to score 35 or more points in nine consecutive games other than Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan. On June 18, 2008 he became the youngest player ever to score over 10,000 points at the age of 23. He was on the rise to becoming a superstar fast by also becoming the youngest player in history scoring a triple double at age 20. As a free agent, he went to the Miami Heat along with Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. In 2012 Lebron led the Heat to their second NBA title in history, along with leading team USA to win the Summer Olympics. Many people may not know but Lebron James could have considered the NFL also. James played wide receiver for St. Vincent-St. Mary's football team in high school. As a sophomore, he was named first team all-state, and as a junior he led the Fighting Irish to the state semifinals. His football career came to an end before his senior year when he broke his wrist during an AAU basketball game. Many sports analysts, football critics, high school coaches, and former and current players have speculated on whether he could have played in the NFL. On June 25, James opted out of his contract with the Heat, officially becoming an unrestricted free agent. On July 11, he revealed via a first-person essay in Sports Illustrated that he intended to rejoin the Cavaliers, and his announcement to return to Cleveland was well received. On July 12, he signed a two-year contract with the team worth $42.1 million dollars with an option to become a free agent again in 2015. A month after James' signing, the Cavaliers acquired Kevin Love forming a new star trio along with Kyrie Irvin.
