Visual learners use lectures, colors, quietness, and images to learn.
I am a visual learner and I prefer quietness when working on an assignment because it helps me focus better on what I am doing. I cannot concentrate with a lot of noise around me. If it is noisy around me it takes me a while to understand what I am doing. I don’t mind working with others but I prefer to work alone so that I do not get disturbed.
When I am at a lecture or listening to a lecture I take plenty of notes because once the lecture is over and we have an assignment I have to go back to my notes in order to process what we went over in the lecture. I have always been a visual learner since age 7. My notes are always very detailed.
After I take my notes I have to color coordinate them by the most important to the least important because when I take notes they be like a paragraph, very wordy. My mom told me when I got older she had to color coordinate my work for me when she helped me so that I could get a better understanding of what I was doing.
I especially love using maps. Maps help me to understand the information better. It also shows an overview of the topic that we are discussing. It also helps me to picture the information in my head. Since I am a visual learner this is the best out of all three of the choices above.
My religion plays a part in this because with God all things are possible. I just keep God first and everything else falls into place. I know the test that I took last week said that I was a visual learner but with God I can be whatever learner I want to be.

Participating is one of the best ways to help students remember quickly what they have just learned in class. For example, students can try to answer the questions, raise their hand when the teacher asks for students to show their homework or write on the board, join in groups for discussing or doing assignments, and ask questions to make sense and solve what they misunderstand. The second simple skill is taking plentiful notes. To make good notes, students can use colorful pens or colorful notes for different information, and highlight the important words or ideas in notebooks and textbooks. When students are expected to focus on the lesson, using initials, shorthand, and abbreviated symbols are also helpful to follow the class. In addition, making mind maps is an effective way to capture all the knowledge after every lesson. Students can create a mind map on paper or in an app on a tablet; furthermore, students can find out several useful software tools, which are available to buy or for free, on the Internet such as the mind map software tool of Tony Buzan, Xmind and so on. To this end, students can increase their success by taking notes, participating in class, and creating effective mind…

Visualization is a key tool for being a visual learner. I am able to learn best when I am able to look at a picture or a graph. Unfortunately, many of my college courses so not provide visuals, so in order to succeed I have to find other ways to study. I can help myself by making color-coded notes or even by making boxes around information that I have to know. The Learning Styles Inventory and Learning Styles Descriptions by Solomon and Felder has taught me that I am a reflective, sensing, visual, learner. The Reading/Learning Process in Chapter One of A Brief Guide to Writing from Readings by Stephen Wilhoit has taught me to find a definition and purpose, ask questions, and take notes. I never like to write academic papers, especially if I don not know why I am writing it. If there is at least some sense of a purpose then I might be inclined to do the assignment well. I understand that the purpose of this assignment is to summarize what we have learned about ourselves while we have been here, so I was inclined to write this paper! I have learned that it is good to ask questions. It is encouraged that I ask questions to make sure that I understand the assignment or reading so I can do…

    | I am a multi-sensory learner, so my learning strategy is to use the style that seems to fit at the time. If I am reading from a textbook, then I will read aloud and take notes while I read. I will then read the notes aloud and chart anything on the computer that needs to be charted. I would also look for opportunities to take breaks, to help staying attentive.…

About 42% of students are visual learners and about 30% of students are kinesthetic learners.. Yet in colleges they use a lot of lecture classes when only 19% of students are auditory learners. Visual learners need to watch the teacher physically do what they're teaching or have pictures to link what they are learning to. kinesthetic learner need to actually try what they are learning for themselves. I think that the most effective way for people to learn is with a mixture of every learning type..…

Flash cards, surprisingly enough, work well with my hands-on style. I incorporate some type of note taking with all my visual studies. Visual stimulation, to me, is right alongside social stimulation. However the visual methods must be linked with some sort of reading or note taking in order to be effective. I’ve found that looking at some information, then discussion with notes is helpful.…

There are a couple of ways that you can take notes. The Cornell method is best when the information is given in a sequential, orderly fashion and allows for more detail. The semantic web/map method works best for instructors who skip around from topic to topic, and provides a "big picture" when you're previewing materials or getting ready to study for a test.…
