Leadership style
Benigno Simeon Cojuangco Aquino III known as Noynoy Aquino or PNoy, is a Filipino politician who has been the 15th President of the Philippines since June 2010.
Following the death of his mother on August 1, 2009, many people began calling on Aquino to run for president. On September 9, 2009, Aquino officially announced he would be a candidate in the 2010 presidential election, held on May 10, 2010. On June 9, 2010, the Congress of the Philippines proclaimed Aquino the winner of the 2010 presidential election. In 2013, TIME magazine named him one of the 100 Most Influential People in the World.
Although the official residence of the President is the Malacañang Palace, Aquino actually resides in the Bahay Pangarap (House of Dreams), located within the Palace grounds.

I really admire our present President because of his extraordinary way of running the country. Compared to other administration, he is really running after those politicians or officials who got our wealth illicitly. Though he’s a bit childish on the way he reacts to certain issues that plague his administration. When he talks about people who he thinks are corrupt, he usually goes into attack mode and lambasts them in front of his audience. Back then, a lot of Filipinos were shocked and disgusted with the way he acted like a toddler throwing a tantrum and hurling insults at those on hot seats like Corona who he insisted was getting in the way of his straight and righteous path towards good governance. For GMA, Pnoy said she should have done something about the transgressions during her term. For me, this is just but alright.

To most Filipinos, he is not good with his numbers either. He thinks that “billion” is lower than “million”. But that is not even the worst thing that the public can take away from many of his statement. Not only did he try to divert the attention of the media from the alleged pork barrel scam, it seems he is not giving

Maria Corazon "Cory" Sumúlong Cojuangco Aquino (January 25, 1933 – August 1, 2009) was the 11th President of the Philippines and the first woman to hold that office. Aquino was also the first popularly and democratically-elected female president and head of state in Asia.[1][2] She is best remembered for leading the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution, which toppled the authoritarian regime of the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos and restored democracy in the Philippines. "Tita (Auntie) Cory", as she is affectionately known, is considered and revered by many Filipinos as an icon of Democracy, and has been hailed by TIME Magazine as the "Saint of Democracy," due to her well-known spiritual life and strong adherence to non-violence and democracy.…

But there is noticeable in President Aquino’s SONA, even from the 1st to the 4th is that he acknowledges the achievements of his cabinet members. This is one of the traits that a leader must possess, and our President has it.…

I’ve lived my entire life in the Philippines, not so much a feat I know, but more than that, I have dined with kings and queens on steaks and lobsters, and have eaten balut and fishballs with peasants and mobsters. So I can fairly say; I’ve seen a whole lot of the Filipino society. And if there’s one thing I have learned in all those years is that the worst critics of the Philippines and the Filipinos are not the racist Western Caucasians, nor are the high and mighty, (because of their oil) Middle-Easterners nor the blustering Americans, no! Their criticism is nothing compared to that of the Filipino’s scorn upon himself. How many of us have heard others, and even ourselves say these words and phrases, “ang mga Filipino kasi eh (insert negative characteristic/s here)” or “tayong mga Pinoy kasi...ganito, kwan... (insert negativity here) or SIMPLY say this in an EXASPERATED manner: “HAY PILIPINAS!”or “PINOY NGA NAMAN OH!”…

On May 2010, Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Cojuangco Aquino III was sworn as the country’s 15th President before millions of Filipinos at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila, vowing to deliver the nation from poverty and wiping corruption that grip the administration of his predecessor, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. During the historic event, Aquino disclosed that on top of his priorities is to tend the culture of bad governance and for him to set a good example in getting rid of corrupt practices in public administration (Mabasa, 2010). A good speech, however, does not yet make a good presidency, and Aquino’s first appointments and policy decisions were awaited eagerly. Soon after the inauguration the administration announced an executive order fleshing out the constitutional guarantee on the people’s right to information.…

After the proclamation and formal assumption into office, along with fancy celebrations and parties, the new government of Noynoy Aquino is now starting to confront the challenges and problems of the country. Its cabinet is now almost complete and its policies and programs, though slowly, are taking shape out of the motherhood statements and broad campaign slogans. With the winning of Aquino, surveys showed that there is an increased optimism for a better life in the coming months among Filipinos from all classes. The promise of good governance have impacted the people and an atmosphere of relief from nine (9) years of mismanagement, illegitimacy and very corrupt governance is certainly in the air. This situation compelled various sectors, especially the Left, to discuss and debate on how we should deal with this new government.…

PNoy, delivering his speech in Filipino really had brought more impact to the citizens of the country. He was understood by most and therefore was appreciated by most. Delivering a SONA really is a serious matter but I’m really wondering how PNoy managed to make it so light. I find him funny really He himself included in his speech the responses that he had anticipated. The way he stated everything was so queer but what is important perhaps is the thought that he was trying to convey.…
