My interests in French span beyond just the language; I love to experience French culture through observing their art. In francophone culture, the arts are dvided into several categories, one of which is cinema. I often enjoy French fils, and one of my favorites is "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain," or "Amelie".

"Amelie" is the most popular French movie in the world, so naturally, I felt compelled to watch it as soon as my French was sufficient enough to understand it. The film consists of a shy girl named Amelie, who devotes her life to doing good deeds for people. Along the way, she falls in love, but she is too shy to act on her passions.
