Lawrence Ferlinghetti's Life And Accomplishments
Lawrence Ferlinghetti was born on March 24, 1919, in Bronxville,New York City, however. His parents died when he was young, so he never had a permanent family. Although he never had a permanent family,he overcame that and made his accomplishments possible. Later in his life he joined the Navy and studied in North Carolina,New York,and France. He later married his wife Selden Smith and they moved to San Francisco. There he opened the City Lights Bookstore and that’s where he still is today with his children Julie and Lorenzo Ferlinghetti.

His accomplishments in life have been the ACLU Earl Warren Civil Liberties Award in 1973. He was also awarded the Robert Frost Memorial Medal in 2003 along with the Literarian Award in 2005. In 2012 he
