Lady Macbeth's Responsibility For The Murder Of King Duncan
Considering King Duncan’s death and the roles of Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, Lady Macbeth bears the greatest responsibility for the murder of King Duncan. Both clearly bore responsibility for the murder, but Lady Macbeth’s intent to kill- the plan to kill King Duncan, shifts the greater responsibility of this travesty onto our Lady Macbeth.

In turn, Lady Macbeth provided the best public reaction to the murder. Following Macbeth’s ballad to justify his murdering of the guards, Lady Macbeth deigned to draw attention to herself and entertain those present with an act of swoon.
