Throughout the play Lady Macbeth transforms from a strong ambitious woman into a crazed, power obsessed psychopath, who eventually lets her hunger for royalty get the best of her. In one beginning of one play lady Macbeth is of high honor who along with her husband, is very well respected among other people. She quickly becomes obsessed with the feeling of being superior she gained and starts to itch for something more, she tries to persuade her husband into killing King Duncan so they can take place as king and queen. She shows no humanity or morals when she asks to be stripped of her female weakness and filled with masculine thoughts and actions. “Come, you spirits that tend on mortal thoughts unsex me here, and fill me from the crown to the toe topful of divest cruelty” Towards the middle of the play is where I started to notice her transformation. She exposes her true conniving ways when she manipulates her husband by questioning his manhood continuously until he finally gives in and murders Duncan to prove himself to her. Now that Duncan is murdered I slowly noticed how eager Macbeth was to claim her thrown, the fact that she was so crazy for royalty and riches.
Towards the end of the story Macbeth soon becomes overwhelmed with guilt and horror as she can not lie still in the nights. Macbeth blew the signs of guilt off her and thought nothing of it. I could tell the less she cared all the more guilt came. It got to the point where she would sleep walk to the restroom as she would pretend to wash her hands the same way she did when her husband had killed Duncan, very ruff to take off all he blood from Duncans body.
My conclusion to Lady Macbeth is that guilt will come back to haunt you no matter what. Lady Macbeth and her husband did a cruel and mean thing for riches and royalty and in the end got the same ending as the queen and king before them, the both died before there time.
