Kylie Jenner Should not be RICH!
By: Julia Devereaux, Emile Judson, Ana Barrios, and Olivia Murray

We believe that Kylie Jenner is paid way too much for what she does. She doesn’t even do that much to be famous. She was born into a rich family because her father, Bruce Jenner, is a gold-medal carrying Olympian. They, the Kardashian and Jenner families, all get paid way too much for what they do: sit around, get filmed, and sometimes model. Their salaries all went up when their father stated that he was transitioning into a woman. First of all, I believe Kylie Jenner should not be paid five-thousand dollars per episode of “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” and three-thousand dollars per tweet and Instagram post. She is only eighteen years old and does not do anything to deserve that kind of money. She has posted nudes and made millions of dollars off of them and should not be praised and looked up to for “not being afraid of being herself” for doing that. She used to lie and say her lips were so large because of lip liner, but then later admitted to getting lip injections the whole entire time, which is one of the many fatuous things she is famous for. She has no reason to be famous, and she should have a really accomplished résumé to be as famous as she, Kylie Jenner, is. All she has done is come up with a lip liner product that sells for thirty

Her father was an Olympian and became famous due to that. He was a gold-medalist and got a lot of fame and money off of his past accomplishment. She has always fed off of her rich parents and sometimes models, mostly almost butt-naked, to make her own money. In my opinion she isn’t even that photogenic, but because of all of her surgeries she looks very photogenic. She is eighteen years old, and owns a house worth almost three million dollars. That is insane, most eighteen year olds are living in apartments or with their families and struggling to pay for

Everyone generally thinks Kim K has “zero talent” and that she has been given everything she owns and never grateful and never had to work for it, which is absolutely not true. Her father, the late Robert Kardashian, was OJ Simpson's attorney, and obviously he was pretty good at it. So Kim was bound to have a good business sense. He taught her all sorts of negotiation techniques and importance of work ethic at a very young age. It is said that Kim was forced to have a job in her teen years, from working at her father’s law firm to just normal teenager jobs. At just 16, Kardashian would purchase clothing via her fashion sense, and then sell it for a much higher price on Ebay. That’s where it all began.…

But Kim hasn’t just relied on her father’s inheritance she has continued to massively increase it by doing a variety of different things. Most people know that the first time she came to the public eye was when an intimate tape made with ex-boyfriend hip-hop singer Ray J became an internet sensation. Over the past decade, Britney Spears has gone downhill little by little from becoming famous after being on Disney channel. While doing a case study on Britney Spears, I learned the music industry stole away her innocence and molded it into an attempt to transition from a pop princess to a sexy adult performer that would sweep millions. Her overexposure and paparazzi frenzy causes her to go insane because she has no privacy. Additionally, there is proof that Britney has had many psychotic breakdowns. Maybe the reason for her actions in the past has to do with the fact her children being taken away from her custody and her career going slowly down the drain. Also, she has been in a constant battle with drugs, alcohol, her ex-husband Kevin Federline, and the paparazzi. Secondly, some of the people she hangs with are bad influences from the get-go including famous Paris Hilton. Furthermore, in November 2006 after being friends with Paris, Britney was caught three times wearing no underwear on and exposing herself to the paparazzi (Cowboy). Afterwards, Britney made even poorer choices as her life began to fall to pieces even further which made her a bundle of fans. For example, after reading an article about Britney going downhill, a blogger wrote, “wow I used to actually like you until you became a whore and a crack head and then when you have your first chance you get your kids back you don’t even show up for your court hearings you’re a horrible mother” (Neyna). Many bloggers that used to be fans of Britney agree to this blog.…

In past times, fame was something that was earned, not something handed out to just anyone. For instance, Frank Sinatra who was one of the most famous people in modern history didn’t rise to fame because he was cast on a reality TV show and people thought he was entertaining. No sir, Sinatra gained his worldwide fame because he had talent. He was considered to be one of the greatest singers of all time. Snooki, from the cast of the jersey shore, was of no such scenario. She gained her fame and the attention of the American Public by getting cast onto The Jersey Shore and acting like a complete nut. That is the problem with America; we have become so obsessed with pop culture that it has become watered down. We have traveled from Sinatra to Snooki.…

Throughout this discussion there were many great points made, whether agreeing or disagreeing with the article. From beginning to end there were many different biases. From my understanding of this entire article is, yes Caitlyn Jenner was not right, but I don't necessarily believe she's wrong either. Mia, Kendall, and Noah all made the point that you can not judge what you don't understand. Therefore if you were put in this same position plus the lights, camera, and action you would have no idea of what to do. All four opinions including my own were more towards the emotional side for Caitlyn. Mia made the statement that the kids of Caitlyn gave their opinion, maybe the children did act as everyone would think they have no longer claiming…

Cindy Jackson in my opinion has major issues. She thinks beauty is on the outside and does whatever she can to make herself look like an imaginary person. It seems to me that she is doing all this to try to make money. Her website is all about selling cosmetics. In which I am betting she doesn’t even use herself, because if there is a flaw in her mind she corrects it with surgery, so why does she need cosmetics? I think that her self-esteem is still extremely low even after all the surgeries and it has been from the start.…
