Kyle Carpenter: What Is A Hero?
What is a hero? When the word “hero” is brought up most people think about superheros or just about anyone that saves lives, but in my opinion, heroism is much more than that. This essay is about what my definition of heroism is. A hero helps others in ways most people wouldn't, a hero inspires people, and a hero doesn't let their fear control them.

In my opinion, a hero is someone who is willing to help people in ways others wouldn't. Kyle Carpenter saved a fellow marine from a grenade by jumping in front of it. In Afghanistan, 2010, Kyle Carpenter risked his life and saved someone else in a way most people wouldn't.
