In this section, the open-ended question has three questions: the strengths of the design materials, the weaknesses of the design materials, and the feedback for the researcher. The comments and suggestions given by the evaluators were listed as follows.
a. The strengths of the designed materials
1) The materials carry a strong message of the cultural product of Batik.
2) The designed materials do not only focus on the improvement of reading skill but also the values and precious knowledge about Batik.
3) The designed materials have a simple layout.
b. The weaknesses of the designed materials
1) The materials are more likely to create some inhibitions to many students – because the text seems to be too old(it may not fashionable).

In Indonesia, the development of character education is a concern by educators and teachers since a long time ago. This development of character education has infused in some curriculum such as KBK, KTSP, and Kurikulum 2013. In KTSP, it has been implemented implicitly through hidden curriculum. Then government designed Kurikulum 2013 which was developed based on KTSP. Furthermore, this character education is mentioned explicitly through the syllabus and based competency in Kurikulum 2013.
Some years ago, both of civic and religionhave the responsibility to educate students’ character.No matter how areappropriate, good, and importantthey subjects are, they never seem to be enough for character education. Both of them only focus on providing knowledge.Cognitive (thinking), affective (feeling), and psychomotoric (doing) are also involved in those subject and need more emphasize. This school has not yet committed to focusing on character-building but there are some core ethical values which have been learned by their students. It is shown at some posters which contains some encouraging sentences or vision and mission of the school. Teachers, administrator, social worker, cafeteria worker of schoolare caring, helping, and supporting each other. The staff who work in the school become the model for students. The climate and environment of school support the teaching-learning activities. All of the elements of school work together enhance character-building

    In this research paper, I will try to illustrate my hypothesis of spiritual formation throughout the lifespan by using my interpretation of a collection of theories.
