Kuder Journey Assessment Essay
The Kuder Journey assessments provide you with various career options based on your skills and interests. If you are unsure about what career you want to pursue or just want to explore different job opportunities, taking the Kuder Journey Assessments will surely help you pinpoint your options. I took the Career Interests assessment, Skills Confidence assessment, and the Work Values assessment. It helped me get an idea of what careers I would enjoy doing in the near future.
Prior to taking the assessments, I anticipated they would be like every other quiz I have taken in the past, providing job titles that didn't really interest me, but I was wrong. The results I received were extremely helpful and allowed me to narrow down my options. The website itself was appealing as well, it displayed various bright colors and was very to maneuver through. I never had any difficulty finding anything. The assessments themselves were not overwhelming either, which I find to be a common factor amongst many job quizzes.
The Career Interests assessment was the first assessment I took on the Kuder Journey website. My results, in order of the highest score to the least, are: Family and Community Services, Early Childhood

To my surprise, I noticed my Confidence Assessment results were similar to my results on the previous assessment. Four of the five results were the same as four of the results I acquired from the Career Interest Assessment. My results from highest to lowest score are: Family and Community Services, Early Childhood Development Services, Marketing Communications, Professional Support Services, and Teaching and Training Services. I was delighted to find that I am confident in addition to being interested in much of the same career areas. I imagine when a person is confident as well as interested in their work, it only benefits their well-being but their journey in their careers as

John Holland created a test called SDS. SDS stands for Self-Directed Search, which means a career interest test, questioning a person's aspiration, activities, skills and interests. The code I got is AIR/S. The R and S were similar codes so they both can be used as both letters are possible. Some of the career choice that got me interest were Surgeon, Art Therapists, Psychiatrist, Guidance Counsel, and Biologists. With the tests and results, it got me to think of what my choices were. It taught me that I still want to do something I like and that these options got me interests and are worth checking out.
