Kohl's Marketing Strategy
A creative, tactical idea for Kohl’s is to have the store play different playlists or musical genre’s in each of the departments throughout the store to better reach our target audiences, so in the women’s, men’s, girls, boys, and kitchenware sections there will be a hand selected playlist playing for each that will not only draw the attention of our target audience, but draw them into that department to create a positive shopping experience. We will determine the songs to be played for each area through analyzing Kohl’s target consumer in each department. We will implement this plan by working with the tech department to get speakers to play different songs in each department. Once the speakers are set up in each department we will determine what songs each target audience most prefers and create the playlists. Finally, once all the technical details are worked out we would …show more content…
Kohl’s is also open to positive changes using technology, for example the electronic sale signs, and by using resources they already have in a different manner, Kohl’s can provide an enjoyable experience.This plan would go over well in Kohl’s department stores because of the broad audience that they serve. Kohl’s provides affordable and quality products for every type of person that comes into the store and a different playlist in every department allows the company to appeal to a specific target audience by playing a song that they might enjoy, according to their demographic. Much of Kohl’s competition is focusing more attention on target markets and appealing to those specific audiences.     My business partner and I are thinking about opening a small, nostalgic record store.
