Many men are becoming irritable, tired with energy levels at a all time low and wondering what could be wrong with them. A lot of studies are showing up that Klinefelter 's is what they have. Klinefelter 's Syndrome is a chromosomal disorder that only affects males. A normal male has and X and a Y chromosome in the 23 pair. However, a male with Klinefelter 's Syndrome has an X, Y and another X. “It 's that second X chromosome that causes the signs and symptoms of Klinefelter 's syndrome” (Paulos, 1). He went to the local Men 's Health Center, where he later found out that he had low testosterone. The doctor labeled his illness as Klinefelter 's syndrome. Thom said, “My entire life I have felt like there was something different.” So he did something about it. He decided to get testosterone therapy. Testosterone therapy is an injection of testosterone that is given every two weeks. “Testosterone therapy is the conerstone of their care” (Paulos, 1). The therapy really does help with all of the symptoms males experience and get them feeling back to normal. If a male does have Klinefelter 's Syndrome and doesn 't receive the testosterone therapy there are many health ramifications that could occur. It makes it easier to develop things like diabetes or osteoporosis. Now Thom is being monitored closely. Just after four short months of testosterone therapy he feels so much better. "I have more confidence. My libido is like a 20 year old. My overall body just feels so much better," Testa said. He does say that he waited for his symptoms to get very unmanageable until he got them checked out but he is glad that he did.
