Kira-Kira Book Report
Have you ever had an experience of losing someone. I know, I have. The one who was really close to your heart or someone who wasn’t that close but still you miss them. This story is about two sister who have grown together in the same house. She both took care of each other. One sister was Katie and one was Lynn. Lynn took care of Katie since she was born.The title of the book is Kira Kira because this is where they life had started to change. Kira kira means glittering in Japanese. This was the first that Lynn every thought Katie when she was a child. “Lynn told me that when I was a baby, she used to take me onto our empty road at night, where we would lie on our backs and look at the stars while she said over and over” Katie, say kira-kira,

She didn’t forget her after her death. Katie was blaming herself but no one can change the destiny. If they both sister knew about it they wouldn’t ever get apart from each other. After her death Katie always visit the ocean beach that ocean reminds her of her sister. “I hid my tears from my parents. But the water started to make me feel happy again. Here at the sea-especially at the sea- I could hear my sister’s voice in the waves: Kira-Kira! Kira-Kira” She could hear Lynn's voice in the waves. Katie kept Lynn's diary close to her bed and reads from it to remember her beloved sister. The author's message is about love, how love is becoming so difficult in humans life. Some people are lucky to go through their life with the people they love but some people aren't that strong to forget someone so quickly. After, reading this book it touched my heart. It reminds me of once how I loosed someone who was really close to my hate. I will never forget him and neither will Katie. In my opinion people should read this book. It is very sad and you will never forget the two characters ever. It won’t take your whole time but just if you have time sit alone and feel the emotion of those characters. This story will tell you that what I mean by That love is the worse night
