HAMLET CHARACTER ANALYSIS ESSAY

Evil is when someone does terrible, selfish, immoral, wicked things to others. King Claudius portrays himself as being a virtuous person when he is really a villainous individual. The evilness of King Claudius is seen throughout the scenes of William Shakespeare's play Hamlet. King Claudius’s evil and manipulative ways are the reason why everyone dies in the play.

Claudius’s first sign of cruelty is when he plays with Hamlet’s mind about his father's death. Claudius actually kills Hamlet’s father in order to take over the throne but he never tells Hamlet about it.     Claudius is deceiving everybody in his life. He deceives all the people around him regarding his brother's death: " Oh 'tis true too true! How smart a lash that speech doth give my conscience!
