Kinesthetic Self Assessment
Though out this course, I have taken several self-assessments test many with results that surprised me and other scores I anticipated the results. Below are the results as follow:
• What Is Your Learning Style? Auditory 25%, Visual 35%, and Tactile 40% being a kinesthetic (tactile) learner doing hands-on approach works best for me. This work well with the visual learning style that is a close second.
• What was your Jungian typology? ENFP Extravert (3%), Intuitive (22%), Feeling (19%), Perceiving (3%).

• Productive skill score: 46 showing that I am on the right trach with productivity efforts.

• Locus of Control: 24 Internal Locus of Control (Strong) this score shows that I believes I can influence the outcomes of events.
• Burnout skill

I don’t if the numbers have any significant being so close to one another or just a coincident to happen that way, it would be interesting to see what the other students’ scores are. There is some area that I need improvement one would be commutation skill both written and spoken. Most professional jobs are going to require you to have a good if not excellent commutation skill, it has something I been struggling all my life getting better at it at a slow pace. Problem solving skill scoring in the middle with a 47 show I can handle most problem, but getting a better understanding of the problems can improve my skill over time. Improving my decision-making skills will help all around in both job and life choices, and this can lead into better project management …show more content…
I think part of my problem lies in that personality type have ENFP. This type of personality has a big part of your decisions making based on feelings and personal value. That is the type of person I am and not going to change, so going to have to adjust to improve the rest of the skills. Couple areas that I thought would have score higher was people and creativity skill, I like to think myself as a people person very outgoing and sociable. And only scoring a 56 surprised me. The other one was creativity skill I like to think as myself as a very creative person, but these just for reference purpose and interpret them how you will. At my current job, I am a NOC specialist most of our work can be done remotely, but at my location it must manned 24/7 365. Therefore, improving some of these skills can open doors to other positions with a little more reasonability. Pursuing, my second degree along with the certification I have would the ability to move to a different state if that opportunity

Locus of control is what people perceive what their everyday outcomes will be. If a person has an internal locus then, they believe that they are in control of themselves and the influence of the world around them. A person with an external locus feels as though they cannot control the things that happen to them and the world around them. I, myself, have an internal locus because I believe that my actions control my life. If I do not work hard at something, I have only myself to blame for the outcome that I get.…

Following the assessment, the preferred learning strategy was a kinesthetic learner, close to being a multimodal. The score was one point different between a kinesthetic learner and an auditory learner. I do tend to use my hands, use all my senses, talk out loud and repeat myself, I prefer doing experiments and hands on activities. I also have good hand-eye coordination that most kinesthetic learners tend to…

Self assessments have been used widely in recent decades. The usefulness and truthfulness of these assessments depend entirely upon the user. Utilizing a self assessment tool for the betterment of self is the goal of this report. In this report, I have completed 3 different self assessments to analyze myself. The first assessment that will be discussed is the Jung Personality Test. The next one will be the Team Role Preference Survey followed by the Work Locus of Control Survey. Each of these surveys focuses on various behavioural and personality traits. The Jung Personality Test focuses on four principal physiological functions by which we view the world: feeling, intuition, sensation, and thinking. The team Role Preference Survey is geared towards identifying an individual's preferred roles in meetings and team activities. The Work Locus of Control is designed to determine control beliefs in the workplace. The results obtained from the three surveys indicated predominantly what I already knew about myself. My teamwork ability and my interpersonal skills allow me to be an effective mediator. My locus of control being in-between confirms my suspicion that I believe in effort equals reward but also that external factors are always an influence.…

Locus of Control Scale (Rotter, 1966). The Locus of Control is a 13 item questionnaire that measures a person’s perception of control which is internal or external control of reinforcement. Individuals with a high internal locus of control believes that their own actions determine the rewards they obtain. Individuals with high external locus of control believe that their own behavior does not matter and that rewards of life are outside of their control. Scores range from 0 to 13. A low score indicates an internal control while a high score indicates external…

When it comes to my locus of control I believe that I have an internal locus of control. I believe you are in charge of your own destination. Too many times in life people want to blame their failures on things that may have happened to them as children or because someone else is responsible for stopping them from their success. I believe that if you have goals you want to achieve you can achieve those goals. It may not happen right away and may take hard work but successful people do not quit when the going gets…

I think I do better acting out how things work while I am studying or doing homework. The assessment did surprise me a little bit because I was not expecting to score high with visual, aural, and read/write. I’m also surprised that I scored Kinesthetic by a point above of visual, aural, and read/write. There are some points where I could have been a visual, aural, and read/write learner. I would like to use visual because at times when I use a graph to look at different percentages that are about many different things, it helps to look at what item is better by the percentage. Aural would help be by listening to what others say about a topic and how they feel about it. It gives me the idea on what others think and how I can follow the topic and not mess up and make a fool of myself. Read/write would help me by reading through directions and following them, or rewriting notes from a power point. I would say kinesthetic is my number one learning ability to have because of being hands-on materials and do actions while I am studying and doing…

Locus of control is an allocation of responsibility for the events in your life. The underlying question regarding the locus of control does you believe that you control your own life. Firstly, I think for me I most agree with the locus of control assessment. I personally agree with the test saying I have a high internal locus control or rather I believe that my rewards and success in life are the results of my own behavior. For the most part, things like luck and chance don’t really exist and it is ultimately up to the individual to work hard rather than to blame outside forces on things like why you can't find a job or for poor performance at work, school, sports, etc. I agree with the idea of high internal locus of control. Believing…

On the self-assessment inventory, I scored between 76 and 88 out of 100 on each key competency except for the Change and Across Cultures competencies. My scores were within the numerical range for 68% of managerial professionals that completed this self-evaluation. For the most part, I see myself as very good on a number of the skills such as balancing my personal and work life, embracing uniqueness, supporting the goals of a team, and making ethical business decisions. For the Across Cultures competency, I am lacking in global experience and the skills to recognize the differences of various cultures and customs. In addition, I need to improve on recognizing, leading, and implementing adaptations when needed by teams and organizations.…

I think of myself as a very easy going person, I’m usually very patient with other people and it takes a lot for me to truly get angry or upset. I’ll go out of my way to avoid confrontation usually and for the most part this makes me an easy person to get along with and fairly likeable. I also enjoy being social and have a large circle of friends. This transfers over in the workplace as I can get along with others and work well in team environments on projects. I also place a high value on relationship in the workplace and feel it’s important to get along with your fellow employees. I am also extremely optimistic and will always look to problem solve a way out of a scenario whether it be at work, school, or with my friends. These strengths also come with some areas that I believe I can improve on. I score in the lower half of openness to experience and this means I could work on thinking outside the box and being more creative. In the workplace I do value conventionality and order, which can be good, however it wouldn’t hurt to expand my thinking by getting more creative. This would be especially important if working on projects that don’t necessarily have set guidelines. One area, under conscientiousness, that I think people tend not to see about me is the fact that I am actually very organized, motivated, and structured. I like to know exactly what I’m doing and how to do something before I begin a project/assignment. I can see how people wouldn’t see this so much in me because when I am in more social situations I tend to appear to be loose and not very organized. Because my evaluator’s scores were so similar to mine, I don’t really know if there are any areas that people tend to see in me that I don’t. One slightly higher score was in emotionality. I don’t think I am emotional at all and for the most part I am worry free. My evaluator scored me slightly…

People with an internal locus of control tend to believe that they have a high degree of control over what happens in their lives (Miller, 2014). Person’s who possess internal locus of control tend to take responsibility for their thoughts and actions and usually have a strong sense of self-efficacy (Cherry, 2014). Now, people who possess external locus of control are primarily people who tend to believe that the events in their lives are controlled by external factors like, fate, luck, other’s behaviors or “powerful” other’s (Miller, 2014). They like to blame others for what happens to them, or often will credit luck or chance for any success (Cherry, 2014). Finding out what one’s locus of control is done by a simple test of asking questions in various forms to answer.…
