Kinesthetic Learning Style
Kinesthetic: Learning Style
Kinesthetic learning needs to have movement in order for kinesthetic learners to learn the best. Adding movement while studying can help them focus on what they are doing. Kinesthetic learners have a hard time paying attention if they have to sit for a long time. I feel like I am a kinesthetic learner because I learn the best by doing instead of listening to others tell me how to do something.
Kinesthetic learners have a rough time sitting still. Taking short breaks while studying or during class can help them refresh their minds and also their bodies by stretching their muscles so they don’t get stiff. Things like listening to lectures and reading books are really hard for them to sit and do because they get bored

Learning can either be successful or not, depending on the approach and strategies used by the teacher. In order for the teacher to accommodate for students with learning disabilities, here she must use differentiated instruction and multilevel assessments. Not all students can learn or perform at the same level. One might suggest strategies or approaches, such as creating a syllabus allowing the students to know what will be covered and assignments that will be expected of them throughout the course. A calendar should accompany the syllabus to assist the visual learners. Technology could be used to present information, and to assess students. This method is especially helpful for a kinesthetic learner…

Problems can be solve. People can overcome problems by using their strengths. One way for some people to solve the problems is by using movements and motions to help them learn like in activities. Bodily kinesthetic is a intelligence to help you to do stuff in different activities like it helps you learn quicker by using motions and hand movements or for some people doing experiments to help you able to understand better. When you actually do something like an experiment, you now visually see it and know how it works and stuff. For example in math sometimes when I multiply, divide, subtract, or adding big numbers I could do it in my mind, but sometimes I get confused, so sometimes I check my answer by writing it on the paper just to make sure I get it right. When you use hand movements it helps to know and makes what you have learn leave in your brain.…

Communication stimulates the process of learning. In order to structure learning the lecture notes are written down verbatim by the author. During the VARK questionnaire that I took I scored an 11 on visual, aural, and read/write. The topic that I scored highest on was Kinesthetic and I scored a 12 on it. Kinesthetic is a learning tool that is hands-on approach. People that are kinesthetic are easily distracted by the activity that is going on. The difficult approach towards it would be sitting still for an amount of time, such as a lecture. I believe that Kinesthetic is a perfect fit for me because I believe that I do better when I’m doing hands-on. It is also hard for me to sit in class for a long time because I get bored just listening to the teacher talk for an hour or longer, but I do still take notes in lectures because I’m used to bulletpoints while sitting in a lecture.…

About 42% of students are visual learners and about 30% of students are kinesthetic learners.. Yet in colleges they use a lot of lecture classes when only 19% of students are auditory learners. Visual learners need to watch the teacher physically do what they're teaching or have pictures to link what they are learning to. kinesthetic learner need to actually try what they are learning for themselves. Research has shown that elementary students stay on task better and are less fidgety when they are provided recess (Jarrett). According to the National Association for the Education of Young Children, “There is a relationship between physical activity and the development of brain connections” (“Recess-It’s Indispensable!”). Also, children are allowed to explore and wonder, encouraging creativity. Without vigorous playtime, the heart does not have fresh oxygen in the blood to pump to the brain when it becomes sluggish. Students absorb information better when they are provided a break in between lessons.…

Motor learning can be related to many different fields of Kinesiology, but specifically, motor learning has a great impact in the field of Physical Therapy. In the field of Physical Therapy, patients that come in to receive treatment usually suffer from an injury, physical disability, or disease that has caused them to have a difficult time performing certain motor skills that are necessary for daily life living or for a certain activity. Motor Learning mostly deals with the relearning of motor skills or enhancing the performance of a motor skill because of an injury or disease that has occurred (Magill & Anderson, 3).
