The reason why e-readers like the Kindle or the Nook are cheaper than a normal tablet like the iPad is because they are specialized for the purpose of reading digital books, and thus lack the computing capacity as well as storage for any major actions. Take the example of the Kindle Paperwhite, one of the best selling e-readers in the market, which does not have the capacity of checking emails. One root application you might not have had the pleasure of installing already is the Tasker app. With Tasker, you can change-up your operating system and tweak it a million different ways. First, the Kindle was one of the first readers available and until its release in 2007 the market was virtually untapped. For Amazon this was a strategic move as it puts a name to these types’ devices. As compared to Xerox and the photocopier, or a Jeep to the ragtop SUV, Kindle will the brand name associated with the reading device for years to come driving more business to Amazon and if Bezos’s luck holds steady, this will only improve as the Kindle continues to develop new features in the years to come. 1) The CEO of Amazon.com, Jeff Bezos, effectively employed both intuitive and systematic thinking when he developed the Kindle for sale. Through Bezos’s creative idea in the Kindle, one can see that he makes decisions that seem to be based off of intuitive thinking. With this approach, people make decisions according to their past experiences and gut feelings, as opposed to analyzing all of the facts. Bezos took a risk in the creation of the Kindle going off of his gut feelings that it would be a successful idea. But long-form reading really hasn’t”. The company needed a push to rise above their competitor, Apple, and Bezos was able to provide a creative idea that he thought would work based off of things he has experienced. Fortunately for Amazon, his intuitive idea was a success and “Amazon now sells more Kindle books than paperback books”.…

As per 2011 census, India’s literacy level is 74% which is much lower as compared to the world average of 84%. We can estimate the size of Indian education sector by analyzing the public and private expenditure on education. In 2011, the private expenditure alone on education was $60 billion and the public sector spending on education in the form of various schemes was $8 billion in the financial year 2011-12. In spite of all the investments made and private spending, there is still a huge gap between demand and supply.
