Katherine Mansfield Sociology

I had a amazing chance to help out at local help centers in Mansfield. I was surprise how actually beneficial it was to our people n our community. I honestly thought it was just hand out to people who is sort of struggling. I know there is some few greedy people who would take everything that they can get and still have money in their pocket and I also know there is few individual who really need it. I must admitted I really didn't want to go to those four laces. The first one that I went to I force my self to go after I got done doing that. I couldn't wait to go to another one. My less favorite ones was the domestic shelter and the harmony house. My favorite one was The church and The salvation Army. I was shocked how going to those sites tied u so much into what we learn in class.
Our major causes of poverty issues is lack of education and feminization of poverty.(Huber,J &Chalfant 1974) . I did notice there was structural poverty. It seem like a lot of individuals who had a low income jobs or have a good paying job for a while. All of sudden, they would loss everything. When i observe how those people walk into the food bank and the salvation Army, i notice their lack of social skills wasn't very good what so ever. They wasn't very nice towards the volunteers and the workers of those places. I notices how different type of individual who was dress in casual clothes had fine social skills and the ones who look like they barely don't have anything to their name lacked in social skills. I did saw a decent amount of young females at those places . I
