Man, I must say that I have been EXTREMELY busy covering these politics because it’s full of false accusations and scandals and I am trying my hardest to be honest and fair. Now my friend what I mean by false accusations and scandals is the media; both printed and social media; have a way of influence the audience into believe what they feel they want them to believe versus how I believe in what we need to be believe and deserve that (to certain circumstances). I’ll go through all that stuff and enlighten you a bit more about what I have learned this past week about it so you aren’t confused. I’m also going to talk about how hard it was to determine whether or not my stories were socially responsible, assessing the credibility of the sites I visited (which was only one really I trusted) and my awareness of how I might influence the public and or other reporters. Well my friend, now that you know what to expect, let’s just dive right into my responsibility of being fair and balance coverage.…

    Sorority Case Study Essay

My chosen subgroup to be studied was UCSB students who identify as a pledge of a Greek lettered recognized sorority on campus. The methods I used to answer the overbearing question of: How do people experience and understand the rising cost of college? was through a series of semi-structured interviews and participant observation. After conducting my research I concluded that the main factor that influences one's experience and understanding of the rising cost of college and influences their decision on whether or not to participate in sorority life is based off of the means in which they paid for college tuition (ie. through parents, loans, scholarships, etc.). If solely the individual's parents were able to pay for their child's tuition then a rise in college…

Like every proper girl Grace was very naïve when it came to things of the sexual nature. When she observes Nancy’s dress to have some ink-ish snuff stains she tells herself “she most likely slipped and fallen down” (262) She didn’t understand where the stains could’ve came from, besides getting dirty doing house work. Throughout her story Grace speaks a lot about Mary Whitney and all she taught her regarding men such as ‘not sitting where a man just sat’ and how street whores made money. Unfortunately Mary died while going through an abortion, which ironically Grace did not understand at the time. All of this new information did scare Grace, until she finally realised how naïve she really was when she was informed about Mr. Kinnear and Nancy’s relationship as to which she remarked “I was much surprised , and said so; . . . “I was not so knowing as I thought myself, and could scarcely see the nose before my face”. (295-296)…

    • 530 Words
    • 3 Pages

When she was a few days old, she was dropped on the doorstep of an orphanage in China. Lynch remained in China for a year and a half, until she was adopted by her family here in the United States. She has two older siblings who were also adopted. But what people do not know on her interior, they know on her exterior. Tori Baggio and Lynch have been friends for many years. Both do choir, and have been in countless classes together. When asked about one characteristic that describes Lynch, Baggio said, “She is dependable. We have never been best friends, but we have always known each other, and we can always have fun together, and I know if I ever need anything Grace will always be there.” Though not a Renaissance woman, Lynch takes many AP classes, and does well in the majority of them, all except for one. She loves Spanish, but she has Doctora "Zobler and she gives [her] crippling anxiety." Tim Sullivan, another senior at the high school, says that if Lynch were to create a class, it would be "how to win an argument. There would be a mix between real life situations and then hypothetical situations, and the kids in the class would have to argue with each other and try to win the argument.” Sullivan claims that this is much like a normal conversation with Lynch. She is known to put her mind to something, and keep trying until she achieves what she set her goal to…
