Why do you want to be a SET leader?
I want to be a SET leader so that I can help welcome in the new members and make sure that they understand everything Kappa Delta is, and has to offer. I know that it was hard as a Freshman to transition into college and learn how to balance everything, so I would love to help guide them into WSU as best as I can!

What qualities do you have that would make you a great SET leader? I have so many qualities to offer for a SET leader position. They helped me with all my questions, made me feel like I had someone to talk to and always included me. Also, I really liked having the meetings with the SET leaders because it was place for me to learn and ask questions without feeling embarrassed in front of older members.

What is your most vivid memory of Bid Day? My most vivid memory of Bid Day was seeing all the excitement from the older members as I was running up to the house. I loved running home to CeCe, who recruited me. Even the people I hadn’t talked to during recruitment all hugged me with big smiles and welcomed me home. I didn’t feel out of place what-so-ever. Another thing that I remember most from Bid Day was that everyone was dressed up so much, it made it seemed like they really cared about us and wanted us to have as much fun as we could.

What ideas do you have for bid day? I have a lot of theme ideas that would be so cute for Kappa Delta. In order to make sure that the new members felt as welcome as I did, I would make sure that everyone is excited to dress up and give help give ideas for different outfits or ways to make bid day more exciting. I want to change up their “swag bags” a little this year to make the stuff more appealing to

I would like to take the opportunity to be a link crew leader because of how the Link Crew affected me as a freshman. Not only did they answer any questions we had, but also as a sophomore I still find myself referring back to my link leaders. The feeling of knowing someone around you when you are in a sea of strangers is not only a helpful resource but also reassuring. My freshman year I learned that the link leaders obtain some very special qualities. Link leaders are fun, outgoing, determined, and consistent people and I believe I also have these characteristics. I can use these qualities to hold myself responsible for caring and tending to the needs of those younger than myself.…

For the past three years, I have been the Key Club class representative. Throughout my experience, I learned that leadership is essential in volunteer operations, whether providing food for the hungry on a small scale or raising money for people in need. My role as class representative revolved around my ability to attract and retain quality volunteers. I was responsible for delegating essential tasks to the volunteers in a fair, effective manner. As the class representative, I was initially a volunteer coordinator, one of my initiatives was to allow volunteers to choose which tasks they felt most comfortable with. I had to get to know the members and understand their limits and play on their strength .With that knowledge, I was able to identify…

    3. I want to be a member of ASB so badly, I believe it would be such a great opportunity to change or impact things that I, personally, as a student am not impressed with and have confidence that I could possibly better. A leadership group like this is fantastic; it is like having a voice for your student body. You are what your classmates rely on, if they have a question they ask you, if they have a comment or an opinion they tell you. Of course there is the worry of their judgments and unneeded thoughts, but as…

As an executive officer in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, each individual is responsible for a legacy project during the school year. I was responsible for SOS Children’s Village which is a foster care neighborhood that houses children that were abused, neglected and/or abandoned. Even though this was a one-day experience, I was thrilled about the opportunity to work with children as I believe that no child should be denied proper medical care and a healthy home. It is said that time goes by when you are having fun. This was true for our experience as we went four hours over time. I coordinated leadership and team building activities for the children in which both the volunteers and participants enjoyed. Who knew that in five hours’ strong bonds can be developed with a stranger that you might not encounter again.…

Spirit Week is connected typically to a schools Homecoming activities. Therefore, when Mr. Daniels presented the purposed days to the administration team everyone seem to agree except for myself.
