Kanako Creative Writing
I slowly opened my eyes to the bright sun shining through my eyelids. Rubbing my eyes I now noticing that they burned a bit "ugh, what happened?" I looked around and noticed that I woke up at the bottom of a giant crater. I slowly respond still tired after last night "that's right, I must have cried myself to sleep" I said looking at my hand and clenching it into a fist. "Why?.....why did this happen to me? more importantly why did Kanako's life have to be taken!?" I say as I punch a nearby small boulder nearly cracking it in half. I got up and stood there silently watching blood drip down from my right hand. Letting out a brief sigh I started to climb my way out of the crater. As I reached the top I could see the village off in …show more content…
Instead of sitting at a table I just stood there silently in a corner observing conversations. There were a wide variety of people here. They ranged from short to tall, skinny to fat, crazy to sane, and anywhere from a dwarf to an orc. This is a gathering city where all races are welcome and there is no bloodshed.....Other than elves. Elves have lived along side mankind for centuries but just a few decades ago, an elven commoner tried to slay the king. There was reason to believe that the clan of elves had planned the whole thing, so the king posted a reward for hunting elves. Ever since then the elves don't dare be seen in a public area let alone by anyone but their own race. "Well there doesn't seem to be any news or gossip spreading around," I said with a sigh. Walking out the tavern doors, I couldn't think of another Idea. "It's not as if a solution would pop up in front of me when I needed it, that would be too easy," I thought to myself sarcastically. "Hey, stop that!" Came a voice from the alley way. "Just give us back what you stole and we will let you go.....Well, we will after we have a little fun with you," said a deeper …show more content…
"Hey, could you please stop bothering this young lady?" They turned and looked at me "hey, you better scram before we decide to leave your limp body in this alley way!" He said with a slight snicker "now I don't see what's so funny, I am giving you a chance to let her go and you decide to make matters worse by pissing me off more than I was a few seconds ago," I said as I clenched my

Gununa Kawi Temple. Well, it used to be called that. Now it’s known as Gununa Kawi base camp. The world has fallen and these people still insist on doing their monkey chant, sorry “Kecak Dance”, every day without fail. They’re doing it right now. I can hear the faint “cak” sounds from the far end of the camp. They don’t want to get involved. Around me, people duck behind the fallen ruins of the temple, wielding guns in the dark. I’m pretty sure if the monkey dancers in the sky looked down now, they wouldn’t like what they saw.…

“Ouch.” I said as I rose from the sand, rubbing my head. I looked up and saw the helicopter, perfectly landed, which was weird because the last thing I remember was the tail spiraling us out of control and me renting it of course. I looked around and saw nothing but sand, water, and trees, lots and lots of trees. I slowly stood up and brushed the sand off my pants and shirt. I saw that the shoes I had been wearing were no longer on my feet, which was a bummer because I had just gotten them.…

I felt expelled and exiled, sitting in a room filled only with a bed. White walls which painted no imagination, no hope just emptiness; yet they still assured me I was meant to be here. Every day was the same as the last, every memory I captured had slowly escaped. I was considered dangerous, vile and out of control; these words constantly surrounded me, swirling around in the echoes of the halls. 15 years I have been here, and still not once has my voice box being strained. Everyday new comers are filling the halls with recent experiences, these are the only colour these halls ever hold, the only colour we are ever able to grasp and use to paint our own ideas of community; they enable us oldies to once again imagine. Soon enough the halls go back to plain white and emotionless passages and so to do my imaginations, the images that i had held slowly fade over and over again until i am left with nothing. This only reminded me of what was familiar.…
