Jurassic Park Research Paper

Okay, I know that I am not the only one who likes dinosaurs. When I say dinosaurs, most people automatically think “Jurassic Park” or at least one of their well created dinosaurs shown in the movie(s). Over the years, Jurassic Park has gained more viewers and larger audiences around the world. It all started with a great book, and then a movie, and tons of toys and, of course, more movies. Jurassic park has basically shaped or views on dinosaurs. T-Rex: bad; Raptors: bad; Brachiosaurus: good. Yeah, this movie probably gave every child nightmares, but most view this movie as a classic. Eventually the creators of Jurassic Park though, ‘hey, let’s make this a 3-D movie’, as if seeing it in 2-D wasn’t traumatizing enough. If you thought that these ancient creators were done shaping our imagination, you are sadly mistaken. 1993 was the year that the animals that we saw as extinct came back to life…sort of. The trailer used to advertise this resurrection was filled with action, suspense, fear, and aw. Compared to the loving little creatures on the popular animated kid’s movie that came out in 1988 “The Land Before Time”, Jurassic Park took a different direction on the image of dinosaurs. The short clips of the characters screaming, running, hiding, and the extreme emotion on their faces is what causes excitement. Of course, there is the fact that there are real, live dinosaurs walking around that have been extinct for centuries and cannot be contained that may cause some excitement too. The fear factor may be that these enormous carnivores are chasing people and judging by the trailer’s content, it is a very strong possibility that this could actually happen in actuality based on the science explained in the movie trailer.
