In this essay I aim to describe and evaluate Carl Jung’s theory concerning personality types and show how they might usefully help a therapist to determine therapeutic goals. I will also look at the origins and characteristics of attitudes and functions and show how these can be related to psychological disturbance.…
This evaluation covers the rating period from September 02, 2016 through September 02, 2017. Detective Junge is currently assigned to the Investigations Division. He investigates commercial burglaries, thefts, receiving stolen property, and defrauding Innkeeper crimes. This is Detective Junge's first completed year as a detective. Detective Junge's partner is Detective Wood and therefore, he is tasked with handling Detective Wood’s caseload in his absence. Detective Wood’s caseload consists of auto theft, auto tampering, and thefts from vehicles. Detective Junge is always busy. Many of his investigations are conducted via telephone, and I regularly overhear these investigations. Detective Junge is effective and efficient in his use of time investigating his caseload. He was assigned a total of 835 cases during this rating period. Of those cases assigned, he cleared 186. Detective Junge had a clearance rate of 22.2% during this evaluation period. This is an excellent clearance rate. I appreciate Detective Junge's diligence concerning his caseload.…
According to Jung Typology Test’s result, ENTP is my personality type. The accuracy of personality tests are doubtful for me. They seem to me like the given descriptions by horoscopes, any one gets this result would probably think it was he or she, especially since it is mostly praising. So that, I looked at the weakness to figure out whether ENTP describes me exactly or not.…

The Jung Personality test is also known as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), which is an assessment that is designed to help someone who is taking the test understand his/her preference towards perceiving and judging information through four categories; Sensing vs. Intuition, Thinking vs. Feeling, Perceiving vs. judging and Extrovert vs. Introvert. After taking the assessment, the results indicated that I have a slight preference of Introversion over Extraversion (22%). I also have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (12%) as well as a moderate preference…

In order to understand the relevance of the Mother archetype we must first understand the nature of archetypes as a whole. Archetypes are born from the collective unconscious; according to Jung the unconscious is a “superficial layer … [that] is … personal (3)” and thus based from individual experience. The collective unconscious exists “upon a deeper level … [that] is inborn (Jung 3)” making the collective experience universal that “constitutes a common psychic substrate [that] is present in every one of us (Jung 4).” Meaning that all individuals are born inherently capable of recognizing and understanding “contents and modes of behaviour (Jung 4)” that are cross-culturally prevalent. From the collective conscious the archetype is born. Merriam…
Among Freud, Jung, and Adler, Freud is indisputably the most towering monolith. It was Freud's pioneering use of the term "the I" "das Ich" in his native German, which was then translated into the Latin "ego" that brought "ego" into common parlance and popular interest to the process of self-consciousness. Adler's school of psychology, which he called "Individual Psychology," was based on the idea of the indivisibility of the personality. His most significant divergence from Freud's premises was his belief that it was crucial to view the human being as a whole not as a conglomeration of mechanisms, drives or dynamic parts. And in contrast to most psychological thinking of the time, Adler believed that, fundamentally, human beings are self-determined.…

From a psychoanalytic viewpoint, the theories of Carl Jung, Alfred Adler, and Sigmund Freud will be demonstrated. Carl Jung was the maker of the “introvert/extrovert” theory. Jung described them as follows “Extraversion is the turning of attention outward and focusing on the object. Introversion is the turning of attention inward and focusing on the subject (the person doing the perceiving), on her or his thoughts and feelings” (Dolliver, R. H. 1994). But there is also a catch to Jung’s theory “the fact that within Jungian theory, both introversion and extroversion are present in every person (with one usually being developed in the consciousness and the other relatively undeveloped in the unconscious)” (Dolliver, R. H. 1994).…

Jung’s third preference is how an individual makes decisions, either as a Thinkers or a Feelers. My results show that I am a Feeler, and as a Feeler I make decisions based on subjective set of values. The Feeler’s value system is shaped by the external factors rather than internal ethics. Hence, if a Feeler has been exposed to a strong value system and ethics, strong character and integrity will be prevalent in the Feeler (Personality Page, 2015). It is through Fischer, (n.d) teaching that worldview is “an intellectual, emotional, and spiritual framework by which you view reality, make sense of life and apply meaning to every area of your life.” Likewise, my biblical framework for life has shaped my interaction with people according to Luke…
Carl Gustav Jung a Swiss psychiatrist and a contemporary to the most controversial minds: Freud, who of which Jung’s theories to begin with were influenced by, but later grew opposition towards his ideas and started pursuing his own. Simply Viewing religion as a natural process and considered it as something that was ultimately good for our mental well being.…
