A Great Leader could Fall
The play Julius Caesar is an great example in which leadership and friendship is shown. Leadership has become so popular and it still happens today through military, athletics, and politics. But at sometimes these politicians are assassinated just like Julius Caesar. Today, I will be discussing politicians with leadership who were then assassinated just as Julius Caesar.
To begin, we start off with the famous President Abraham Lincoln who was known to have many qualities making him a great leader at the time. Kennedy. JFK’s way to being a leader was his charisma, confidence, and enthusiasm. Just like Lincoln he also had the trait of wise decision making, but one trait that kept Kennedy unique was his vision of America. His vision for America caused him to be a leader because he inspired many of his followers. An example of how Kennedy impacted America was through the space program. JFK wanted to pursue America in the race against the Soviets in which he did successfully with the Moon Landing. But unfortunately Kennedy’s reign had to come to an end. On the day of November 22nd America then sees one of their presidents get assassinated. Kennedy’s killer, Lee Harvey Oswald also had a similar story with John Wilkes Booth with the Cold war between the Soviets and Democrats. According to an article by history.com named “John F. Kennedy Assassinated” states, “He was discharged in 1959 and nine days later left for the Soviet Union, where he tried unsuccessfully to become a citizen” (History.com). This shows that Oswald was on our side at first until he was discharged by our military causing him to try to join the Soviets. This connects with Julius Caesar because Cassius had deep hate against Caesar just like Oswald hating on the US military.
