In the play, “Julius Caesar” by William Shakespeare, every single main character has a problem for instance, Caesar is to arrogant and does not listen to the warning by the Soothsayer. Another Character in the story is Marcus Brutus, a companion of Caesar, who has a problem that affects the whole story and leads to Julius Caesar being assassinated and lead him to be a tragic hero. This quote explains why he is a tragic here, it tells the reader that he had Rome in his best interest, because in this quote Brutus is trying to explain why he killed Caesar; and that he is trying to calm people down because they were angry at Brutus for killing Caesar because the citizens of Rome never wanted Caesar to die, of course this was unknown to Brutus as he was lied to by Cassies. Finally in end Brutus died thinking that his part in the assassination of Caesar was worth something, he also died thinking that people in Rome did not like Caesar but in reality they really did.
