At the beginning of the Video, It is talked about Dover school where is in Pennsylvania. Dover school doesn’t believe an evolution. Dover doesn't believe that Human Was a monkey. They said that unbelievable even if the science says that. Dover has found some picture which is about the related between Monkey and Human, but he destroyed that. Many people said that concept means people are stupid because monkey with no mind ,but people has mind. When Dover was in Court to refuse this evolution against who believe it. The Jude was thinking whether this evolution came from science or this is type from some religion. Some of them said “It’s about religion , Politics , and power”. …show more content…
In Denver’s school in the science class they took a subject called Intelligent Design. They said every creature has a different Theory so they cannot related it to each other. Dover says that the school made required for student to read one minute statement about theory of evolution exists and putting forward Intelligent Design as alternative. The School made a textbook requirement called Of Panda and People. Many of scientist that the Intelligent Design is kind of some religion of the world. That is not a science and not researched by anyone. In the court day, there is no camera allowed there. They discus about Intelligent Design and evolution. On of the teacher said “to me God created to me that all I need to know”. Other Person said “ I do not want my children believe evolution because that is not real we were not animal !! ”. In south of Dover about 20 miles from the school, there is a woman teach a science since 20 years in high school of Dover. She receive a book about Intelligent Design , but she never believe it. The Judgment said the Dover School controlled by the religion (Christianity). He said the evolution could be came from that religion not from science. However, the other people

    Even though Scopes had taught the theory of evolution, his defense lawyers in the case pleaded “...an act of this sort is clearly unconstitutional in that it is a restriction upon the liberties of the individual…”(Jeffrey P. Moran, Pg.82). On the other hand the prosecutors stated that teachers “...cannot teach any religion in the schools, therefore you cannot teach any evolution, or any doctrine that conflicts with the Bible.”(Jeffrey P. Moran, Pg.82). With the defense supporting science and the prosecution supporting the traditional Bible, this case has made it clear that in Dayton, Tennessee 1925 the teachings of science and religion can not simply coexist in a classroom. With teaching both religion and science in a classroom, it is inevitable that a student learning the story of the Bible and then learning the theory of science, would start to question which one holds the truth. In a letter written by Mrs. Jesse Sparks about the Butler act says, “...I could not see why the mothers in greater number were not conveying their appreciation to the members for this act of safeguarding their children from one of the destructive forces…”(Moran, Pg.204), which shows the concern from the religious point of view that the teaching of evolution might destruct the religious beliefs parents had taught their children. The reason why this topic had become so controversial was that the teaching of science conflicted with the views of the religious orthodox south which had been very dominant in 1925.     Evolution Theory should be taught at schools.Whenever various debates have taken place in parts of the country regarding whether evolution should be taught in schools, I have always observed the situation with a degree of skeptism; the education I received never attempted to dissuade us from learning about evolution, and while none of my classes ever taught evolution with as much depth as Ernst Mayr attempted to convey in What Evolution Is, both systems taught it as a fact – one that we took for granted. The debate on the use of the word "evolution" in the Georgia school system initially appeared to to be an irony of anti-evolution tendencies, although Superintendent Kathy Cox has not commented on the theory of evolution itself; "the unfortunate truth," stated Cox as her rationale, "is that 'evolution ' has become a controversial buzzword that could prevent some from reading the proposed biology curriculum" (Gross A10). Whatever her own beliefs on the subject are, however, the elimination of the term "evolution" may provide cool comfort to the theory 's opponents, but its overall effect is merely to hamper the student 's understanding of what evolution entails. Evoultion should be taught in schools because simply changing the wording of evolution and vaguely covering it will only confuse students more.
