Judging Based on Your Appearance
DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER BUT BY THE CONTENT INSIDE! In today’s society, we tend to judge people base on their appearance. Is it a good thing? Is it fair that we judge people this way? Take your time. Spend a few minutes thinking about this. How do you feel? Have you ever been judged by your looks? I am sure, you have been!
Have you had a situation before when you cried because society didn’t accept how you dress or how you look? What are the difference between fat and skinny, tall and short, dark coloured skin and fair coloured skin? Have you heard of the Wizard of Oz? Alphaba, the wicked witch of the West, was judged by her colour. She wasn’t wicked at all. Unfortunately, the society thought she was weird and accused her as the wicked witch. Why is that so?
Another example is Frankenstein and his creation, the Monster. Frankenstein created his monster to love, live life with full of goodwill and protect the human mankind. Sadly, when the Monster was created, Frankenstein was ashamed of his work and ran away. The Monster was just like an innocent baby when he came to life. He didn’t expect the society to throw pots and rocks at him. Frankenstein could have made the monster better looking and smarter but he couldn’t because he isn’t God. He isn’t all powerful.
The Monster had only trusted one and only one true friend. She couldn’t see the Monster because she was blind. They spoke together and had the most fun the Monster has ever had. The Monster would have done anything for the girl if it wasn’t for her brother who almost killed him. The Monster thought that maybe a little kid with no hatred in his heart will love the Monster but he was proven wrong. William, Frankenstein’s little brother, was afraid of the Monster. He wanted to attack the Monster. The Monster, at that time, was angry and filled with hatred for Frankenstein. He killed the boy. Could William have done something else? William could have seen the kind heart inside of the Monster and
