Jrotc Reflection
In 9th grade I joined JROTC because I heard from everyone it was an easy A. I had been in JROTC for 3 years and it has reshaped the way I think and feel about myself and my peers. With JROTC, I have grown in mind, body, and spirit and have become a better person.
Although JROTC is a military based program there is never any military obligation. In the program, the focus is on become a better leader, a better comrade, and overall a better person. JROTC taught me that being a leader isn’t just about ordering people around, it’s about sharing their hardships and lifting more of the burden so you can help them move forward.     You can earn ribbons and medals for different things you have done in the program like raiders, drill, color guard and many other things.     Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage are the seven basic values of the army.
