It has now been 24 years since I have landed on the red waste land of a planet I call home. I left my family, my home and the wonderful planet Earth I used to call home. I keep thinking to myself why did I take the journey to come here I could be doing so much with my life instead of wasting away, with death right around the corner. My name is Josh Greenwood and this is my story. It all started on the 14 of August 2015 when I was given the opportunity to go to Mars the only thing was it was a one way trip. But me being me a 21 year old male without a job, without a life I decided to take this opportunity. But for what... To be a hero to finally get recognised? It came to the day of the launch I was anxious, scared and nervous because I was unsure on what was going to happen, what it was going to be like being by myself on mars. Why was I leaving everything behind to be a hero, I’m going to be alone and I’m going to die young but it’s too late to back out now. As I climbed up the ladder to enter the cock pit I would lay in for the next day I was looking around to see if my parents and friends where here to see me off but they weren’t which mad me hurt deeply inside. I entered the cockpit and laid in my chair checking all my controls ready for launch. I closed my eyes & cleared my mind, when I zoned back in I heard the countdown “10, 9, 8, 7...” At this point I was really anxious and scared. All of a sudden I felt the thrust and the power of the rockets, at this point there was really know time to turn back as I kept shooting up I felt nervous of what was going to happen once I left the earth’s atmosphere. I closed my eyes and in a matter of time I heard the alarm coming from the cock pit telling me that it was time to prepare for the landing, at this point I felt joy, excitement, why wouldn’t I ?, I was going to be the first person in mankind history to step foot on mars. I opened the bay doors not knowing what it would look like outside. It was just
Mars (Greek: Ares)
Mars (Greek: Ares) is the god of War. The planet probably got this name due to its red color; Mars is sometimes referred to as the Red Planet. (An interesting side note: the Roman god Mars was a god of agriculture before becoming associated with the Greek Ares; those in favor of colonizing and terraforming Mars may prefer this symbolism.) The name of the month March derives from Mars.The first spacecraft to visit Mars was Mariner 4 in 1965. Several others followed including Mars….
One of the most explored planets in our solar system is Mars. Scientists are exploring Mars’s surface using rovers, robotic devices that take pictures and samples. Mars is sometimes referred to as the Red Planet due to its reddish appearance of iron oxide. Mars has surface features reminiscent both of the impact craters of the Moon and the volcanoes, valleys, deserts, and polar ice caps of Earth. Frozen ice has been spotted on Mars by scientists who suspect that there has been water on the surface….

Sa labi ng inang mahal, pagkagising;
Ang pita ng bisig as siya’y yapusin….
