Journal Review

The term behavioral blend refers to an individual’s personality not as one singular aspect but a compilation of four different temperaments as stated by Carbonell. I found the lecture on behavioral blend to be extremely interesting as being a counselor is going to lead me to working with individuals that have a multitude of different personality types. The four types of temperament, per the Four Temperament Model of Human Behavior or the DISC Personality types are D-active/task oriented, I-active/people oriented, S- passive/people oriented, and K- passive/task oriented. By learning about the four different personality types according to Carbonell, I believe that I will be able to successfully counsel my future clients due to an understanding from each different sector.
One thing that I did learn by completing my DISC personality assessment was that I possess very strong people skills and I enjoy caring for others. I believe this with my knowledge of the Bible and the desire to serve the Lord along with an understanding of interpersonally communication skills will help me effectively communicate with my clients.
I thoroughly enjoyed this weeks discussion board as well as the readings because I feel that they will help me immensely in my future. I am very excited to learn more about the Four Temperament Model of Human Behavior and I plan to conduct research on my own to ensure full comprehension of the model. I also enjoyed reading the discussion posts of my classmates. God bless!

According to Stewart, identity is defined as being made up of interlocking features that mark how persons behave and respond to others.
