Johnny Depp's Major Accomplishments
“We’re all damaged in our own way. Nobody’s perfect. I think we are all somewhat screwy, every single one of us,” Depp once said. Johnny Depp is an American actor who has faced his own share of challenges. Despite his tribulations he has excelled in his acting career.
Johnny Christopher Depp III was born in Kentucky on June 9, 1963. He grew up with three other siblings, two older sisters, and an older brother. Depp and his family moved to Florida when he was young and Depp hated it. When they first moved there they could not find jobs, nor did they have a place to live. Depp was just a weird kid in general. He soon got interested in the electric guitar. His mom bought him a guitar at the age twelve. He locked himself in his room for a year and taught himself how to play. At this stage he wanted to be a rockstar. The only reasons were for girls, money, and all the extras. During Depp’s teenage years is when he became a “bad kid.” Depp started doing drugs, drinking alcohol, having sex, breaking into classrooms, and also stealing from stores. He ended spending a period of his life living in the back of a car with his friend and worked as a gas-station attendant. He ended up playing in rock bands but could not legally perform in bars. He ended up sneaking in to play a couple and got paid about twenty-five dollars a night. He ended being in a band and took them too California. Later on his ex girlfriend …show more content…
As a kid his parents argued a lot and were unhappy. Then as a teen Depp started experimenting with drugs, sex, alcohol, and stealing. Depp started to steal stuff from stores and do a lot of drugs. He ended up living with his friend in the back of his car. Depp worked a gas-station clerk. Depp started to play in bands and soon went to California too try to go big. His girlfriend at the time introduced him to Nicholas Cage. He devoted his time to acting and was kicked out the band. Depp was broke and lived in Cage’s couch looking in the cushions for spare change. Depp struggled to hit big but finally did. Depp then had a spending habit and would spend more than he could handle. He is still like this
