John Melenn's Accomplishments
American John Glenn Jr. was born in July. He was born in July on the 18th of 1921. Born in Cambridge, Ohio and was introduced to a Scottish-Irish culture (Tilton, 2001). Between both of the cultures it brought a rise to accomplishments and religious beliefs (Tilton, 2001). His father John Herschel Glenn Sr. and mother Clara Sproat we’re very excited for the new baby’s arrival (Tilton, 2001). John Glenn Jr. will bring great accomplishments in the near future.

John Glenn Jr.’s parents are hard working people. John’s father John Herschel Glenn Sr., usually called Herschel (Tilton, 2001). Herschel was related to the pioneers that landed themselves on a 80 acre farm located around Claysville, Ohio (Tilton, 2001). His family and people had hard work ethics towards their East Union Presbyterian Church (Tilton, 2001). Herschel only completed six grades of school and then spent his time on the family farm (Tilton, 2001). Clara Sproat was John Glenn Jr.’s mother (Tilton, 2001). She met Herschel at the East Union Presbyterian Church (Tilton, 2001). She married Herschel in May on the 25th of 1918 (Tilton, 2001). Clara didn’t have the same background as Herschel (Tilton, 2001). Clara was a college graduate and was a school teacher (Tilton, 2001). Her strong hearted value was being a good neighbor and supporting her community (Tilton, 2001). At a certain point Glenn said to Clara “ Our relationship to god is a fifty-fifty proposition. God placed us on Earth...with certain abilities and talents. How well we use ethem is completely up to us.” (Tilton, 2001). John Glenn Jr’s parents were wonderful natured people.
