John Locke Frankenstein Research Paper

John Locke was a profound philosopher who shaped modern philosophy. One of John Locke’s therories is that when a child is born they start their life on a “blank state”. He theorized the way people act and think is based on experiences they had when they were younger. People who had good experiences turned out good and people with bad experiences turned out bad. However, not everyone with those experiences turns out to be the person that they were projected to be. There is evidence in Mary Shelley’s novel, Frankenstein, which supports that claim. People start off with a clean slate and they become the person they were meant to become based on their experiences they had in life whether it be good or bad is up to fate.
People are always searching to find something that makes them happy good experiences in the past leads to a better person in the future. ”Growth memories related to maturity and well-being in ways that reflected their roots in a eudaimonic approach to the good life”(Bauer). The rapper Eminem had negative experiences growing up with his mom.These negative experiences he had childhood would usually would make people turn bad.”Eminem is doubtlessly one of the most acclaimed rappers in the genre's brief history”(Biography). Despite all the negative experience Eminem has had in his life he turn out to be extremely successful. Eminem beat the odds and turn out to be a positive person even with all of his negative experiences in his childhood. Not everybody turns out the same way and people can have negative experience and turn out to be positive
