Blood is a fascinating hue. It’s sometimes crimson, scarlet, ruby red, or even bold red. Crimson is the stain that’s painted on my fingers, since I just accomplished a mission-to murder Simon Krell, who continued torturing his family members on a daily basis. Although he continued being a dangerous man, it was so simple to kill him that it occurred to be laughable, all the acting skills I needed was to pretend to act alike his maid and suddenly shoot the filthy person. As I laughed, my storm eyes gazed at the glowing sky that had waves of gleaming dots on it. A silver ellipse remained framed in the inky sky, supported with millions of winking balls of fire.…

“The memories of his friend changed in his mind so that he could remember nothing that was wrong or foolish- only the wise and the good. He saw Antonapoulos sitting in a large chair before him. He sat tranquil and unmoving. His face was inscrutable. His mouth was wise and smiling. And his eyes were profound. He watched the things that were said to him. And in his wisdom he understood.” (McCullers,204)…

Sadly, I can connect to the narrator’s creepy crush. When I was in middle school, I had the biggest crush on a neighborhood boy. I guess you could have called me a low-key stalker similar to the main character in “The Bass, the River, and Sheila Mante”. The narrator had a very creepy and awkward crush on his attractive neighbor. He hid in the bushes during a party her family was having to watch her. He did everything in his power to get the girl to notice him by showing off his swimming and diving skills even if there was the just slightest chance she was paying attention. The boy would also watch Sheila in her bathing suit at the pool, admiring her figure. We can tell that his crush was both creepy and awkward because of the fact that he barely…

Slaughterhouse Five, by Kurt Vonnegut, is a novel that makes no sense in itself; yet, when put into context individually with today's events, or life's events in general, makes more sense then if it were clearly spelled out within the pages. By using the character of Billy Pilgram, Vonnegut conveys his points with Billy's reactions and common characteristics. Billy Pilgram could not be any more a human then if he was actually walking amongst us. With basic characteristics of simplicity, confusion and general common sense, any one can relate to what Billy is and was going through. By successfully portraying this personality of Billy's, Vonnegut creates a complex yet oddly simple character for audiences to follow.…

The sound of the grandfather clock coincides with fast beats of my jealous heart, as I picture a life without my dearest brother, King Hamlet. I have not yet thought of a more enjoyable life than that of my brother. As he walks into a room, everyone’s mouths drop in awe as his jewelry and crown glisten as the sun does on a summer day. His demeanor earns respect and loyalty from all his citizens and colleagues. But what I am most envious of, is his wife, Queen Gertrude. She possesses angelic beauty with her blonde braids and crystal, blue eyes. This jealousy led to my realization that I can too live a life of King Hamlet if I just ended his life. Chills run down my spine as I begin to plan this genius, yet secret murder. I grin as the details…
