While he move, it didn’t go very well as he planned that it would be. Bach’s music style collided with the church’s pastor. Bach created a complex arrangement and discovered of weaving together different melodic lines. In 1717, Bach accepted the position with Prince Leopold of Anhalt-Cothen. In early December, Bach was released and allowed to return to Cothen. Bach devoted much of his time to instrumental music, composing concertos for orchestras, dance suites, and sonatas. In 1723, Bach had turned his attentions to find work when the prince dissolved his orchestra.
By 1740, Bach struggled with his vision, but he kept continuing to work. He was well enough to travel and perform visiting Frederick the Great, the King of Prussia. He played for the king, making up a composition on the spot. In 1749, Bach started a new composition called “The Art of Fugue,” but he did not complete it. He tried fixing his sights by having surgery, but the operation ended up leaving him blind. Later that year, Bach suffered a stroke. He died in Leipzig on July 28,
