Core self-evaluations (CSE) represent a stable personality trait which encompasses an individual's subconscious, fundamental evaluations about themselves, their own abilities and their own control. People who have high core self-evaluations will think positively of themselves and be confident in their own abilities. Conversely, people with low core self-evaluations will have a negative appraisal of themselves and will lack confidence. It is believe that a person with high core self evaluation would be more active, more confident and more passion about the job. They know what they can do and willing to be accountable for what they do. Therefore, it is often counted as an important factor in work. A high core self evaluation is no doubt a positive trait for any worker. Whether people are born with a high core self evaluation or not is still being debated, not only in business context, but in psychological and neurological context as well. Although some people have the tendency to be extroverted and confident from a very young age, the environment in which they are working in plays an important role as well. They way co-workers and bosses perceive people would sometimes make huge change in the way they see themselves. Hence, self confidence and high self evaluation can be both a fix trait that you are born with and a trait that is built gradually over time.

People seek a stable job and a satisfactory payment to support themselves and their family, and some people might argue that a high paid job is an attractive job.
