My Journey to Vision I start visioning when I’m in my Elementary level, I think at exactly Grade 2. I love my teacher that time. Totally amaze is what I felt when I’m listening to my teacher. So my vision built because of my teacher who loves me and also my classmates. That I promise in myself to be like her someday. She teaches me also how to be humble and down to earth. She became my stepping stone for me to be a professional teacher someday. And also that vision last until I reach my high school level. When I reached my high school level 2nd year high school we have a computer subject that time. And my teacher told me that I have the ability to be a computer engineer but that time I don’t want to study about computer. But when I reached my 4th year high school the words that my teacher said to me in my past year sinks in again. So I decided to take up Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and try to be a Computer Programmer. Just to try my luck if I can survive in that course. When my first semester starts in Polytechnic University of the Philippines, full of pressure and my heart beats fast I don’t know what to do. My first lesson in Programming I is basic for me. Just to input and output. It’s easy for me to pick up. I easily understand it but when time goes by the lessons became hard. I can’t understand it anymore. My interest in computer died. I think being a computer programmer is not for me. So I decided to shift and transfer to another course. I choose Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resource Development Management. And now I’m 2nd year college and studying management. I think this is what god wants for me. He gave me a second chance for me to excel. To find what profession suits my personality. Now, I’m having a very good grades and I think business loves me so I love it back. I’m happy in what I have right now. Having a challenging course and I will work

As a conquistador under the command of Hernán Cortes, Bernal Diaz witnessed some of Latin America’s most interesting and least chronicled history. He was fortunate enough to be one of a select few Europeans to experience the Aztec empire at its height and to visit Tenochtitlan prior to its downfall. In an era where personal accounts of the historical occurrences are almost nonexistent, Bernal Diaz’s The True History of the Conquest of New Spain provides virtually the only window into this period. As a result, his text has become the most significant historical document concerning the Spanish conquest of Mexico. Perhaps the most poignant excerpt from The True History of the Conquest of New Spain is Diaz’s detailed description of his first impressions of the Aztec capital and emperor Montezuma.…

As long as there is structured society, there will always be conformity. Failure to comply to this conformity could mean nothing more than getting a funny look, but sometimes it has more drastic consequences. There is a certain mob mentality that contributes to the concept of morals. In the past, people have said black people shouldn't be able to go to school. Before that, it was understood by most that black people weren't people at all. The same goes for women. There have been points in time where women weren't allowed by their husbands to speak in public, and in the Middle East, that time is now. Modern history is filled with ignorance, prejudice, and war. There will always be people who are scared and angered by their own ignorance, but there will also always be strong leaders such as Martin Luther King Jr., Susan B. Anthony, Mahatma Gandhi, Lawrence Scott, and Nelson Mandela to remind instinctively blind followers of their independence and basic human rights. Often, people want to change the world, but don't know where to start. These men and women knew what to do and risked everything for the well-being of the people around them and future generations.…

I found dreams I never knew I would want to accomplish so desperately, which is another reason I started taking college classes my senior year through a running start program. I have found myself valuing all of my work and dedication much more, because being independent has definitely been a beautiful episode that forced me to be an adult. I see myself going to a four-year school and find a job where i can operate with kids and people facing struggles. I love sociology and have always thought of myself working to help others. I have started a new passion towards history and society change over time which has made me strongly perplexed about a career choice. Due to my indecisiveness, I continue to take as many classes as I can, to clarify my decisions, and hope to find a perfect career for…

I chose the Doctor of Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership with this quote in mind “The very essence of leadership is that you have to have a vision. It 's got to be a vision you articulate clearly and forcefully on every occasion --Theodore Hesburgh, President of the University of Notre Dame” (Heathfield, 2010). When I was in leadership, I tried to focus on that vision for my team with that principal statement in mind. Every day was a new experience, but a very rewarding one.…

The career that I have chosen to pursue is Human Resources Management. When I started out on the path of “what I want to be when I grow up” I started in a completely different line of work. I wanted to be a Nurse when I graduated high school. I enrolled in college and I worked at a children’s hospital. After a while I started getting burned out by working long hours and on the weekend and I started to wonder if this was the right career that I wanted to continue with. I was offered a position at a staffing company that tailored to physicians and nurses and I knew right away that I loved being in an office rather than taking care of patients.…
