Jimmy Butler was selected with the 30th pick in 2011 draft to the Chicago Bulls. The Chicago Bulls superstar Jimmy Butler has become an all star two times in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Jimmy Butler is a shooting guard for the Chicago Bulls and is one of the elite shooting guards in the NBA. Butler has developed and improved a lot since 2011 and he improved so much he won the most improved player in the NBA in the 2014 and 2015 season. This season he has improved even more then he did last season. Jimmy Butler path to the NBA was a very challenging one.

He went to a junior college his freshman year and caught the attention of Buzz Williams. Buzz Williams was the coach of Marquette University. Marquette is a college in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Many NBA players have gone to this division one school. This school has produced a NBA superstar in Dwayne Wade. He currently plays for the Miami Heat and won an NBA title in 2006. Buzz Williams was a huge role model in Butler’s life. He was like a dad that Butler never had in his life before. Butler looked up to him in many ways. He really had confidence in Butler. He never really played his sophomore year at Marquette. He only averaged 5.6 points in his sophomore year. His junior year he played a lot more and averaged a lot more points. He averaged 14.7 points in junior year. He was given a bigger role. In his senior year he put together an even better season his senior year and averaged 15.7 points per game. His rookie year he only averaged 2.6 points. He did not play much his rookie year and there was a lockout which the NBA was not able to play some of there games. His second year he averaged 8.6 points per game and still did not produce as much as he would have liked. He third year in the NBA he averaged 13.1 points per game. He produced a little more but still wanted to get develop his offensive game. His fourth year in the NBA he averaged 20.0 points per game and won most improved player in the 2014-15 season. This award is given to the person who improves the most from the previous year. He developed his offensive game last season and improved substantially. This season he is even doing better then last year. He is averaging more then 22 points per game and the Chicago Bulls are 8th in the eastern conference and are still in the playoffs. Right now Jimmy Butler is out with a knee injury and his timetable to return has not been determined quite yet.
Jimmy Butler became homeless at the age of 13 because his mom, Londa did not like the way he looked. He then went to a junior college called Tyler Junior College and then grabbed the eye of Buzz Williams, then coach of Marquette. Jimmy was drafted in 2011 and has developed and became a better basketball player tremendously and has become an NBA superstar. Jimmy and the Chicago Bulls are hoping to make the playoffs and hope to win
