Current culture seems to imitate classical sources. A prime example of this is the “Jim the Psychic” episode of Taxi, which can be compared to Oedipus Rex. In this episode, Jim makes the claim that Alex Rieger is going to die on that upcoming Thursday night after having a dream, similar to how the Oracle of Delphi told Laius and Jocasta that their son, Oedipus, would grow up to kill his father and sleep with his mother. Alex dismissed Jim's dream in the same manner as Jocasta's disbelief in the prophets. However, everything he stated would happen during the days leading up to that came true.     After Janie has a failed marriage to her very first husband Logan kellicks, she meets a man by the name of Joe Starks. Joe is a man with many ambitions and is very hard working.
