Jermaine Cole: A True Role Model
Jermaine Cole also known as J. Cole is a rapper that was born in Frankfurt, Germany on January twenty-eighth in 1985. Although he was born in Germany he was raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. J. Cole graduated from Terry Sanford High School in 2003 and went to St. Johns University on an academic scholarship and also to pursue his passion for music because he believed that’s where artists got signed. Cole received his degree in Communications from St. Johns University he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 3.82-grade point average. After many days outside of rapper Sean Carter’s (also known as Jay-Z) office, Carter finally took Cole’s tape he made and a few weeks later Carter gave Cole an offer to join his record label Roc Nation. Through everything Cole has been through and persevered I believe Jermaine Cole is the best rapper of my generation. The fact that he produces his own beats and has worked hard to achieve everything he has accomplished also makes for him a great role model. He has a college degree and graduated first in class and is pursuing his dream which is something I plan to do myself. …show more content…
His next mixtape called “The Warm Up” came out on June fifteenth, 2009 and was downloaded over six hundred and fifteen thousand times and viewed over two million times. His third and final mixtape before his first album was titled “Friday Night Lights” came out on November eleventh, 2010 this was his most popular mixtape by far it was downloaded over one million times and viewed over four million
