Jenny Kramer Judgement

At the begin of the episode, Jerry and George appear at a booth. Both of them have facial hair – as a failure attempt to take “vacation from [themselves]”. Disappointed they decide to shave it off. For the viewer surprise Kramer enters the door with a moustache. Soon Kramer realizes, Jerry and George have shave theirs and Kramer decides to do the same. After shaving Kramer experiences discomfort and looks for a better shaving cream. Unfortunately, his judgement is poorly and Kramer decides to shave with butter. The viewer gets disappointed, however it causes them laughter. since Disappointment is laughing at the unexpected (). Kramer makes it seem as something normal, making a buffoon of himself. The thought of shaving with butter makes the viewer laughs because only a fool will do such a thing. O’Shannon describes this “sudden jolt of elevation in our own status” as the Theory of Superiority. Superiority and disappointment are the foundation for this comedic event. It just takes a little of butter to cook this comedic act.

Because next we see Kramer in the hot tub applying water to himself with a baster, and next to him is Newman seated reading Alive.
